CHAPTER 26

The next day has been nothing but the same to the couple. Tay drove New to work, gave him a quick peck on the lips and wished him well on his work before driving himself to the airport. New particularly reminded him to behave properly and avoid any clumsiness at work, and oh, always keep his phone with him.

But New, the moment he gets home from work, he suddenly felt all the loneliness in the world. He definitely know that Tay's not coming home  just for tonight though, but he feels desolation, like he was plunged into an inner abyss of longing and yearning.

But then he laughed it off when he realized he is being overdramatic. He was the one who said that it's ONLY gonna be two days, and yet here he is exaggerating on things.

He tried calling his boyfriend but there was no response. It made him annoyed a bit because he missed him so damn much and all he wanted was to hear his voice. He left him a voicemail instead.

"Ai Tay! I told you to keep your phone where you can easily hear it or where you can feel it vibrate like put it in your freaking pocket. I called you three times and you didn't answer! What is wrong with you?? Anyways, call me back because I haven't had dinner yet. And I miss you."

A nagging yet sweet voicemail.

After hours of playing Tsum Tsum and thinking what to have for dinner, it was past 8 o'clock in the evening when he finally received a text message from Tay.

"Hey you", Tay greeted him on their video call. He was already laying on his small bed, freshly showered and shirtless. Like what he usually is before bedtime.

"Hey you? Tay, what did I tell you about your phone? I'm pretty sure you didn't ran out of battery because it was ringing. And why the hell didn't you update me once you were there? Am I a joke to you?"

"Hin? Why are you at the living room? Did you have dinner yet?"

New rolled his eyes, "You're not even listening to me."

"I am. I'm sorry I wasn't able to update you. I met someone at the plane and we talked a lot of things about photography and when we came at the location everyone was just so busy brain storming and all, then I forgot to text you."

"You forgot about me."

"I didn't intend to Hin. Can't you forgive me?"

"This person that you met at the plane. Was it a boy or a girl?"
