CHAPTER 10

"Tawan!!! Where the fuck are you seriously?? I've been waiting here for half an hour now!", "New said irately.

"Will you calm down?? I'm at the parking lot already. I'll be there in a minute."

"You've been saying that for the last 15 minutes!", New looked at his watch.

"Tch. Almost there love. Chill..", Tay said in a soft voice.

It's Saturday, New doesn't have work while Tay just finished his meeting with an event organizer. Two weeks had passed since Newwiee's birthday. He planned on doing some shopping with his boyfriend at Siam Center but he didn't inform him beforehand, knowing Tay, he doesn't really like going around shopping.

"I really hate it when you keep me waiting", New said upon seeing his boyfriend walking towards him, trying his best to keep his calm.

"Aw, when did I ever keep you waiting?", Tay asked.

"Today!", he saw few people stared at him and realized how loud he sounded, "Today..", he repeated now in a hushed voice.

Tay can't help but laugh at how fast his boyfriend's transition is, "Okay, okay, I'm sorry love..", he put his arm on his lover's shoulder, "What do you want to do today?", he said.

"We should do shopping, you need to help me", he answered as they walked inside the department store.

"Aw, what do I need to help you? You can do this on your own", Tay said.

"Uhmm, because we're living together? Which is why you need to help me choose."

"Fine. What's there that we need?", Tay asked.

"Hmm, mattress. Mattress first. We've been changing mattress a lot lately", New answered honestly.

Tay chortled, "And whose fault is that?"

"Hey Tay! Don't blame this on me alone, you're partly at fault!", he said this with his jaw clenching and his finger pointed to his boyfriend.

"Shh! Calm down, you're too loud. Let's go find your mattress", Tay chuckled sarcastically.

New was looking for mattresses while Tay was just standing behind their two tier shopping cart playing on his phone.

"Love, what do you think about this color?", New showed two mattresses to his boyfriend, one light gray and the other dim gray.

Tay checked on the mattresses, "I think we have these same colors at home. Don't you want to try a lighter or a different color? You always go with monochromes."

"So you don't like them?", New said dully.

"If you like them, then get them."

"I told you that we need to choose together, this isn't just about what I want."

"Okay, I don't like them. Their emotionless and boring and sad. What about this?", Tay pointed at a sky blue colored mattress, "or this one?", now pulling out the azure blue color.

"What did you say? Emotionless? And boring?", New looked at him, vertical wrinkles appeared between his eyebrows.

Tay let out a deep sigh, "Get what you like, it's just a mattress anyway", he walked away and went on the photography and framing section.

He can't win against Newwiee when it comes to this kind of arguments so it's always best for the both of them if Tay will bequeath the decision to his boyfriend, he knows he will concede eventually.
