NEWWIEE'S POV

I sighed the moment I saw the haven of calm and luxurious setting of one of the finest places here in Mueang Phuket, which is the Sri Panwa. It was freaking aesthetic!

I remember when I was searching online last October for a perfect vacation spot around Krabi, where I initially planned, but ended up running through the pictures of a private resort in Phuket and felt love at first sight. It was a newly opened resort in a very small island in town and I consider myself lucky for securing the ideal dates for, erm, Valentine's day.

Tay had been very busy at the studio, doing this and that and going here and there. Sometimes he comes home and instead of spending time with me, he bury himself working. I can't complain, though. He is very passionate with what he do and he brings in a lot of food to the table, as in A LOT, so I decided to just stop ranting about it.

Which is why I want to treat him to a vacation he deserves. I want him to be pampered and just enjoy this few days without worrying about work. And this is such an amazing place to escape from all challenging life in the city. Not to mention, the perfect place to spend with the person you love.

Makes me forget of the unfortunate incidents happened while we're still in Bangkok few hours ago.

Before we almost and finally, thank heavens, made it to the beautiful island of Phuket, we encountered plenty of troubles on our way here courtesy of my forgetful and lately-free-floating boyfriend, Tawan Vihokratana.

Tay and I had a little argument earlier on our way to the airport because he forgot the notebook I asked him to get after he make sure all unnecessary electric appliances at home were plugged off.

Before he lock the door, I reminded him again to not forget the notebook on the dining table because my hands are already full and I wasn't able to put it inside my bag as I was occupied with putting our stuffs to the car's compartment but instead of taking the notebook, he grabbed his camera bag.

We were already halfway from the airport when I asked him for it and told me it was at the backseat, just to find only his camera bag lying there. That's when he realized he brought the wrong item as it became a habit of him grabbing his bag before going to work.

I was so mad because all the itineraries I planned were all there, and Tay even laughed with the reason why I was nagging him because of that. Of course it was maddening! I spent a week of lunch's time thinking of activities we can do for our vacation, his job was to bring the notebook with him and yet he simply forget it.

And because of that petty argument, or my nagging maybe because he didn't argue with me, Tay failed to keep his focus on the road. Instead of going straight to the short-term parking of the airport, we got lost and he had to turn around again to reach the correct parking from where we will leave the car for a few days. If we didn't run, we probably missed our flight.

Ahh, what a way to start our vacation, right?

"The booking was already confirmed", he said as he handed me my ID and sat next to me while waiting at the lounge, "what do you want to do after checking in?", he asked.

"I don't know. What about you?", I asked back.

"Are you still mad about your notebook, love? I'm sorry", he apologized for the nth time and already told him for the nth time that I'm not mad anymore.

"Te, I still feel bad but this is the last time you're apologizing, okay? One more sorry from you and I'm gonna get mad for real."

He only nodded in response and forced a smile as he rubbed my leg.
