THIRD PERSON'S POV

Emptiness washed over New when he woke up in the middle of the night without Tay on his side. He stretched his arms and searched blindly for his phone on the bedside table to check the time.

5:15 am.

He sighed heavily.

It's only been 3 hours or less since he fell on a slumber and Tay who usually sleep like a log was nowhere near him.

"Te?", he called out as he sat down, his feet groping for his slippers.

"Taayyy", he called out yet again but this time louder and longer.

Nothing.

He stood up and searched for him all over the room, the bathroom, and finally found him sitting outside the sundeck.

Although his eyes were closed, New assumed that he was awake as his fingers were tapping the armrest of the wide rattan chair.

New sat on his lap and leaned on his boyfriend's head like the big baby he is making the older grunt on the sudden heave of weight thrown at him.

"Morning, love", he mumbled and removed the headset stuck on his ears, giving the younger a kiss on the forehead.

"Why are you here? You don't want to sleep next to me?"

Tay scoffed in response.

"I want to know, Te."

"Of course, I love sleeping beside you. I needed some air so I went out."

"Am I suffocating you?"

"What? I didn't say anything about suffocating."

"Why would you leave me just like that?"

"Are you seriously picking a fight with me at this hour?"

"No, love. I'm just saying. It's very unusual of you to leave me."

"Okay, I'm sorry. I intend to go back before you wake anyway."

New hummed and nestled his head on Tay's neck. Tay hugged him in return, his hand stroking the strands of the younger's hair.

"Can I ask you something, Hin?"

"I knew there's something you wanna get off of your chest. What is it?"

"I know I haven't asked you this because I always thought I know the answer. But.. were you always like this?"

"Tay, can you please be more straightforward? I don't wanna play the guessing game right now. What do you mean am I always like this?"

Tay cleared his throat.

"I'm just curious. Did you always like men? Or was there a moment in your life when you thought of having a girlfriend?"

"Hm, that's interesting. Did I always like men? No. Have I ever thought of having a girlfriend? No. I've never liked anyone before, Te. I was so busy at school, at work, at helping Gun with his career that I don't have time to like someone. And you know you're my first, right?"

"Hin, you're so heavy and your ass is hurting my leg", Tay scoots over to give space to the younger.

"Aw, you always hurt my ass did you ever hear me complain?", New pouted in return and dipped his head back at the older's arm.
