CHAPTER 46

279 20 3

"That was a deep conversation. Don't you think?", Hin sighed in relief, beaming a smile at me while I was just staring at him.

"Tay?", he called out my name. I'm with him but my mind isn't. It was wandering, spacing out from nowhere.

"Yes love?", I answered, my eyes blinking but still gave him the catatonic stare after.

"Are you with me? What's wrong?"

"Nothing", I feigned a smile, shaking my head, "just.. processing everything."

He snickered at me, "Of course, that's a lot to process. Especially for you who worries on plenty of things."

Seeing him all cool like this calmed my mind and my heart. I don't know how he do it but just one look, one smile from Hin, it feels like everything is going to be well. And I believe that everything will go well.

"Should we wait for a shooting star?", I smirked as I leaned back on my arms, "Look, there are a lot of stars tonight."

"I can't believe that even in Phuket the stars look extra beautiful", Hin smiled adorably while pointing at all the twinkling stars in the sky, "That must be the Triones, or the seven principal stars."

I was already looking at him when he turned to face me and sneered when he saw me staring intently.

"It is part of the Ursa Major contellation. It's tail points to different directions in each season. If we can find the Triones, we'll be able to find other constellation stars."

"Now that one", he pointed again to another direction, "is the Altair. It is the brightest star in the constellation Aquila."

Ahh, how can someone be so smart? I know Hin loves looking at the stars at night but what I didn't know is that he knows about stars. This is one additional information I never knew about him and I'm glad to see that today.

"Thank you very much for the Astronomy lesson, Khun New. But the brightest among all stars is right here", I flashed my hand with my palm facing up near his face and he smiled as he put his chin on it.

"Anyway, shooting stars. You said you want us to make a wish together."

"I said that?"

"Technically you did not. It was on your notebook."

"Oww.. right..", he muttered and scratch his head, "do you remember everything that was there?", he asked curiously.

"Hmm, not really. Only those I think are possible."

"What else do you remember?"

I chuckled softly when I recalled one. Hin tends to exaggerate on few things, sometimes I find them unbelievably hard to pull off. There's a lot actually, but I want to do this one with him.

"Watch the sunrise and sunset with Tay", I answered, my nose flaring as I pursed my lips trying to hold back my laugh.

"Tay, are you making fun of my 'plans'?", he said loudly air quoting his last word.

"Of course not. I just find some a bit cheesy."

"Ahh, cheesy huh? Fine. Then let's not do any of them", he pouted, his arms crossed in his chest.

"But I want to watch the sunrise with you. That I don't find cringey. It's gonna be difficult though if we're still going to stay here. Which is why.. we should go back and get some sleep so we can wake up early and checkout the beautiful sunrise tomorrow", I stated as I stood up and grasped both his wrist forcing him to stand up, but he croaked in conflict and won't even budge on his position.
