THIRD PERSON'S POV

It was a rainy Tuesday evening when New went out from the uber coming back to his house after having been MIA for over 24 hours. Tay was sitting on the porch looking so messed up and exhausted. He already lost count on how many hours he spent searching and waiting for Newwiee and somehow felt relieved he was home when New came back.

He immediately run to the gate while removing his jacket and covered New's head with it as they run back inside the house.

"I'm glad you're safe", Tay wrapped his arms around New's body and hugged him ever so tightly the second they reached the front door, "I'm so sorry Hin."

Newwiee patted Tay's lower back as he tried to pull away from him.

"Are you hungry? I'll make you something", New opened the door and walk his way inside the house.

"Hin, can we talk?"

"Is there anything you want to eat? It's cold. Do you want some tom yum soup?", he asked and went straight to the kitchen, opened the fridge, and took out plastic of shrimp from the freezer. Tay was following him walking around the kitchen while New was picking out ingredients for his dish, ignoring the older.

"Hin, please.."

"Tay, you've been wearing the same clothes since we left. Go take a shower first while I make dinner. Then let's eat together."

"Hin.."

New thumped the kitchen table with the chopping board, his eyes glaring down, leaving the older no choice but to no longer provoke New from getting angrier.

Two bowls of soup are already served on the table when Tay went down from his shower. New was still in the kitchen just standing there, his mind drifting back to the time when he saw his father after so many years...

He was taken aback and literally froze from where he was standing, unable to find the strength to move his legs.

"This is Tay's dad. I told him about the wedding and he's very excited to meet you!"

Tay's dad?

Tay's dad...

He squinted his eyes to the last person he wished or not wished to see ever again and his vision suddenly turned dark. A loud whistling sound from his ears he's fighting so hard was replaced by the words 'Tay's dad' playing on his head like a broken record. He was panting, breathing heavily, sweating profusely...

"Newwiee, son? Are you okay? Newwiee", Tay's Mom's voice was muffled, breaking as panic attacks begin to stir from his insides, "Are you okay, son? Son? Son?", the word echoed continually.

Everything was fuzzy and hazy but when he saw the worry on Mom's face, he was able to untangle himself before he completely have an emotional meltdown.

"Hin? Hin, are you okay?", Tay was shaking Newwiee's shoulder to get his attention when he can't seem to hear him after getting called several times.

The younger was in deep reverie that Tay had to snap him back to reality.

"Yes", he answered as casually as possible after releasing his fisted hands.

"Hin--"

"Let's eat while the soup is still hot", he grabbed two glasses from the cupboard and asked Tay to bring the pitcher.

Deafening silence filled the room that even the sound of their spoon clinking the bowl can't be heard. Tay barely touched his food despite not eating the whole time he was waiting for his fiancé, neither did Newwiee.
