TAWAN'S POV

January 2019

This month marks my fourth year living with Hin. Which also means we're turning five this year.

Five years.

Five mind blowing years.

What an achievement!

There are still times when I find myself staring from afar thinking of everything Hin and I went through and I am always astonished on how much we have grown as individuals and as partners. And how a lot of things happened and changed over the years we spent together.

About two years ago, year 2017, I had a talk with Peng convincing him to sell our condo that has been abandoned for so long because for some reason, I needed the money. He was so hesitant and his excuse was we need backup space in case one of us get kicked out by our boyfriends, which is actually a sensible one.

Six months after I asked him on to putting the condo on sale, trending news of "OffGun is real" blew up on different online news platform when clips of them being lovey dovey in Paris and a certain photo of them kissing under the Eiffel Tower circulated around social media sites.

Their management was not very pleased when they released a statement stating it was a false rumor and appealed to have that picture taken down. They even called my friends' carelessness an absurd and denied the issue until the very end because at that time, my friends are doing different series with different partners. Their agency feared that it might affect the good ratings of their airing individual shows.

Gun wasn't happy with the outcome though. Turned out, Gun's Italian friend intentionally posted that photo with their consent to lowkey spill the beans. Five years of being together, both got tired of keeping their relationship under wraps.

It was a frustrating event for Gun. He even went under stress when he thought that everything will be okay on their supposed coming out. But to his dismay, their management wanted them to sign an agreement where they were asked to lay low from seeing each other and more from which they didn't comply.

That same week, my valiant bestfriend posted a picture of them on Instagram with a caption "OffGun is real" which again caused a month long stir amongst OffGun fans and anti-fans. Most fans are happy and supportive with their confirmation, but some are not as Peng received violent critics and life threatening assaults.

Peng decided to cancel his contract with his current management and had to pay a huge sum of termination fee. And with that being said, he finally agreed to put up the condo for sale which was sold only two weeks after we posted it online.

Now they work under different management. Despite getting few job offers and brand promotions, both still felt happiness and contentment as they can freely go around clinging to one another.

Too much information, right?

Anyway, after getting my share from the sold condo, I used the money I got, mixed with few of my savings to buy a 100 square meter space in Sukhumvit located three blocks away from Hin's office, along with the basic gears needed for my craft to open up my own photography studio.

Alice, Arm's designer/professor girlfriend, helped me with the interiors and did a good job in turning a messy space into a minimalist one. She sure lived up to her words "see small, think big".
