TAY TAWAN'S POV
"I'm just saying, you need to talk nicely to the people you are working with. You may be the boss but without them, your studio will not operate well. You probably think you're helping them by bringing food to their table but the truth is, they are the one who helps you more", Hin snapped the sense out of me after I berate Khaotung for not taking his job seriously.
Khaotung have been working for me for six months now. Bright assigned him to take care of the studio's supplies as his additional workload because he and Neen have a lot on their plates already. After doing an inventory and checking the supplies needed, Khaotung made a tiny mistake of adding an extra zero on one of our basic essentials. We usually order twenty rims of fifty sheets photo paper every week because I find it easier to manage weekly budget and I always want our photo papers to be always new. But he ended up ordering 200 rims. That alone already costs two hundred thousand baht and I can't extract that huge amount in a week. I ended up reprimanding him with some foul words I prattled out of anger that I almost made the poor kid cry.
Hin tried to appease me by suggesting that we can actually make an advance order and just pay them weekly and some explanations I don't understand since I'm not in the proper mind to sink in whatever he was trying to say because I'm still in the middle of my outburst.
But after talking some sense to me, not to mention the very soothing shampoo and head massage he's providing at the moment, all my shameful tantrums washed away as well.
"You're lucky you have honest and loyal people working for you. They even allowed you to have vacation while they're working their asses off. You should be thankful", he gripped his hand on my hair and pulled it friskily, "Am I right or am I right?", he added.
I faked a wince and my exaggeration gave way to guilty chuckles. No need to guilt trip me because I am now feeling really bad for over reacting and hurting Khaotung's feelings.
"You're all done. Go!", he pushed me slightly after making sure there are no more foam on my hair.
At amazing and challenging times like this I can't help but wonder what good did I do in the past to deserve Hin.
"Your turn", I beckoned as I stood up from the bathtub and pushed him forward through his shoulders and sat down behind him, my legs on either of his side.
"It's fine, Te. I can do this--"
"Ah, ah", I cut him off and turned back his head that was about to face me.
"You always take care of me, allow me to do the same sometimes." I grabbed the handheld showerhead and started soaking water on his head while running my fingers through his hair then to his upper body.
He flinched a little when the warm water passed through the scratches on his shoulders.
"I hope these won't leave scars", I said while gently touching the swelling pink-colored scratches with some red dots showing how raw the wounds are.
"They won't", he mumbled, "Can you please clean my hair now? I'm getting cold."
Oh right. I shook my head from my sudden distraction when I remember that it's my turn to pamper Hin.
