THIRD PERSON'S POV

One week after New called off the wedding, he already had canceled on most of their suppliers while Tay had to negotiate to the venue who were asking for twenty percent cancellation fee on top of the reservation fee he first paid as recoup for their lost revenue or whatever. In the end, he still needed to pay it as it was written on the contract he signed but not read carefully out of excitement.

It was too much of a hassle, though. Withdrawing from people who were kind enough to help with their preparations. Tay still doesn't consider getting married in two months as an impulsive decision, however, that gave them a valid reason to lie as to why the wedding was suddenly put off. New, on the other hand, was somehow grateful they haven't started sending invitations yet.

"Why do you have to postpone the wedding? I have pictured and planned out the arrangement for the venue itself. Not that I'm complaining though of the brain cells I used in thinking of a simple yet elegant design that you aspire but, we're almost there Newwiee. We are this close", Alice started doing a tiny bit gesture with her fingers after showing New pictures of her inspirations for the wedding venue.

Ever since the engagement blew off, Alice and New became closer as they talk almost every day. Alice has always been fond of Tay and New's love story so when she found out the wedding will no longer happen, she was really devastated.

"I'm sorry, Alice. Tay and I didn't know how overwhelming it is to prepare for a wedding. It's a lot and we thought we needed time", New reasoned out.

Tay and New decided to keep the problem between themselves and because they doesn't know what to explain to their friends the reason, he asked Newwiee to tell them they only decided to postpone their marriage until next year and will handle the explanations later. Later when he feels better and can talk about the difficult situation he was in comfortably.

"See, I already told you about how soon everything is but you were so giddy to get married. I was even questioning, what did Tay do to you to make you feel excited about something so terrifying! And I thought, you two were so crazily in love", Alice sighed then a pout followed, "I was jealous, you know."

New only shook his head and feigned a laugh before sipping on his butterfly pea tea.

"What is wrong with you two, New?", Alice asked worriedly when she noticed her friend who was about to tear up, "Newwiee?"

"Huh?", New recovered quickly and was able to stop his tears, "Oh yeah. We're okay. Just, you know--"

"Wedding jitters. Hey, that's totally normal. You guys will get through it eventually", Alice winked and smiled at him.

"Yeah." I hope so, he thought.

"Anyway", she clapped her hands once, "does Arm heard about this already? I know he'll be working with your suits next week. If you're pushing the wedding in a few months, you should let him know. The suits may not fit you perfectly by next year. And just to let you know, Arm doesn't like making adjustments."

"Tay will talk to Arm regarding this", he said while fishing out his phone ringing from his pocket, "Oh, excuse me. I need to take this", New excused himself and walked a few steps away from Alice.
