CHAPTER 32

It turned out that instead of having the party at Lee's bar, Off opted that we should have it at Sing's soon-to-open bar which he co-owned with his other friends.

The bar is not fully operating yet, because he's still working on some paper legalities but secretly running it when friends of his friends of his friends wants to have a good time.

I was kinda surprised on how that pervert managed to come up with the concept of his bar. It has dark walls and hanging baffles suspended on the ceilings and the area is surrounded with different neon and LED lights. It has two billiard tables on each end, three U-shaped VIP couches in front of a small stage where his band or other bands can freely play, few tables behind the couches and a service bar at the middle back part.

I was sitting with my friends on one of the couches. Lee was sitting next to me with her wife sitting next to him. Pearwah decided to join us tonight as she wants to see how Sing's bar looked like but Lee told me that she's actually gathering ideas because she wants to expand their business and add an acoustic bar.

Sing was at a corner chatting with Hin probably discussing tonight's agenda, while Off and Gun were busy entertaining some of Hin's colleagues who were asking for pictures and bombarding them with questions led by Sammy who now looks sober.

I actually felt bad for my friends that they had to go through something like this when they came here supposedly to have fun. Peng was amusingly doing good on keeping his cool just smiling and exchanging jokes with them while the little devil made a face at me and rolled his eyes when I past a glance at them. I can't help but laugh.

My boyfriend's colleagues were sitting on the couch behind us. Jan was craning her neck to get a better view to our celebrity friends, while Earth and Yacht were sitting silently.

Joss was actually against of Jan attending this party since he have prior engagement after the dinner and he can't leave Jan alone but Hin persuaded him by assuring Jan's safety and that whatever happens to her, he'll take responsibility.

Yacht came out to be just as loud as Sammy, or maybe even worse, all he needed was a few drinks to warm up. He was actually the reason why everyone's here. Hin invited Sammy to the party the next thing we know Yacht was already shouting in front of everyone "Newwiee's promotion party! Let's go!", from which he regretted after getting an earful from Sam.

And Earth, well, I'll give him some slack since he is Hin's senior but that's not gonna stop me from giving him the benefit of the doubt. I just want to be on Hin's friends good side for the rest of the night.

Especially when Hin and I had a little misunderstanding earlier at the dinner...

I thought I was doing pretty well but then the second me and Joss entered the restaurant, I suddenly felt dizzy and hot as the alcohol begins to take effect.

I almost tripped but Joss was quick to move as he had pulled me back abruptly before I completely fall. In the end we ended up walking with his arm across my shoulder.

When we reached the table and asked Hin what happened to his ankle, I was so worried that I knelt down to see it for myself. Hin kick me lightly and helped me to stand up.

"It's fine Te", he almost whispered at my ear.

But when I stood up, I accidentally stepped on Nammon's foot who was coincidentally walking near their table.

I apologized right away and brushed off some food residues on his shirt before asking him if he's okay. Good thing he was kind enough to let me off.
