In this oneshot, Pregame Shuichi and Ingame Shuichi are twins. Those names are weird though, so while I will use those names when there's no dialogue because those are the names we know, just be aware that 'Shu' is Pregame Shuichi and 'Shumai' is Ingame Shuichi.

"(Y/N), do you wanna go to the movies with me?" Pregame Shuichi asked in a brave tone of voice as if it required some kind of bravery to ask you. He also grabbed the wrist of your long sleeve shirt as he spoke, gently tugging on it like a child.

"Uhh, when?" You almost laughed at how it seemed like the boy was forgetting even the most basic of things. His face flushed out of embarrassment for a few seconds when he realized he'd left out all sorts of important information, but he quickly forced it to go away.

"Well... maybe this Saturday?" Pregame Shuichi suggested, a hopeful look in his eyes. The second you didn't return that look, he knew you were declining.

"Sorry Shu... I already made plans with your brother to go see that museum on Saturday we were talking about visiting for a while. The car ride's gonna be a couple hours, but if you want you can come too... you can get the details from your brother," You offered, unaware that it would create a huge spark of jealousy between the twins. However, eager to not leave you alone for such a long time with his brother, Pregame Shuichi nodded.

"Okay! It's a date then!" Pregame Shuichi sort of clumsily stuttered out his words, his face flushing red once more afterwards. The boy quickly fled after that, leaving you alone to process the scene that had just taken place. Why were both Shuichi and Pregame Shuichi suddenly acting so weird around you? Did the twins get into a fight or something?

"Ugh... I'll never understand twins."

"You guys ready to go?" You asked, standing in the doorway to the Saihara residence with your things ready. You'd decided to visit a little early and have breakfast with the twins before leaving for the museum. Shuichi and Pregame Shuichi showed an interest in the museum, but you weren't surprised because it was a museum dedicated to the history of forensics, and both boys seemed very interested in becoming a detective {though you didn't mention the fact to them that a forensics specialist and a detective were two very different things}.

"I think I'm ready," Shuichi calmly stated, immediately prompting Pregame Shuichi to rush downstairs from his bedroom.

"I'm ready too! Look... I even put on a red tie~" Pregame Shuichi smirked at you, making himself almost look like he was trying to seduce you as he flaunted his red tie. Shuichi, on the other hand, had chosen a black vest over a navy blue button-up. It was a little odd he didn't choose a white shirt, but you didn't say anything.

"Okay... I dunno why you two had to dress so formally though. I feel out of place," You awkwardly looked down at your casual outfit: a blue hoodie with dark colored pants. Pregame Shuichi giggled while Shuichi simply gave you a friendly smile.

"You're never out of place with us~!" Pregame Shuichi declared, laughing a bit. He seemed to contemplate giving you a little physical affection before deciding not to because Shuichi gave him a slight glare for some reason.

"Yeah... even if we're dressed differently," Shuichi gently assured you, and from both twins being so adamant about it you couldn't help but genuinely feel better. It was weird how when two people assured you it felt much more realistic and believable than just one person. That was the benefit of them being twins, you supposed.

"Well... okay. If you both say so," You couldn't help but return the smile of the twins, something you probably could do more often. Both of the twins' faces flushed red at your smile, and their own smiles grew wider. It was... really strange, to say the least, but if they were happy then you were happy.

"Oh, we should get going now. I call shotgun," Pregame Shuichi announced, practically glaring at Shuichi as he said it like it was some kind of competition.

"But... you rode in the front seat last time. How about you drive this time so it's fair?" Shuichi suggested, clearly anxious about confronting his brother so bluntly.

"Hey, wait a minute! I don't wanna get stuffed in the back seat!" You pouted, crossing your arms. The brothers immediately shifted their entire argument.

"Do you wanna sit shotgun, (Y/N)? I GUESS I could let you have it, just as long as Shumai over here doesn't get it," Pregame Shuichi glared at Shuichi, which made the other twin sort of cower away.

"...I can drive if yo-"

"No, I'll drive," Pregame Shuichi quickly cut off his brother, sending him another death glare. What was up with these two boys?!

"(Y/N)?" the twins spoke together in unison, something they hadn't done for a while, "There's... something we need to tell you."

"What is it?" You prompted, wondering if it would be the answer as to why the two boys had been acting more erratically over the past few months.

"We... have a crush on you," the twins explained together, still speaking in unison. Wait... they what-?

"Uh... is this a prank or something?" You stammered a bit, unsure of how else to process the new information. Both twins shook their head no.

"It's not a prank..." Shuichi kind of mumbled.

"And... we wanted you to choose which one of us you'd rather go out with," Pregame Shuichi added.

"Ch-choose?" You looked at both of the twins in near disbelief, "I-I can't choose between my best friends!"

"...It's impossible that you don't prefer one of us over the other, even if it's a small preference, so... just choosed based on your preference," Shuichi almost confidently spoke out his opinion, clearly doing his best to aid you in your dilemma.

Your eyes went from Shuichi to Pregame Shuichi again. How were you supposed to choose...?

"Just pick one. Flip a coin if you have to," Pregame Shuichi chuckled a bit, offering you a coin from his pocket. You refused to accept it.

"I'm not gonna date somebody based off of some coin toss- and most certainly not between my best friends," You refused to take the coin and do as Pregame Shuichi suggested. He put the coin back in his pocket, clearly a bit dejected. However, he spoke up again.

"Well... pick one of us."

Your eyes swept between Shuichi and Pregame Shuichi once more. You had to choose between one of them, but who...? Or.. did you have to choose? You could choose to date neither of them and make their suffering equal...

"I... I choose..."
