charli: ahhhh you look so pretty!!
she curls the last strand of my hair.
you: you go on dates with chase. what do you do on a date? charli: just talk *laughs* he's already in love with you.
i am a bit relieved after remembering that. the doorbell rings and charli sprints downstairs opening the door. i casually walk down and see josh leaning against the doorway holding flowers. he's in ripped jeans and a flannel that partly unbuttoned at the top. he looks up to see me and smiles right away.
josh: hey you: hi
he hands me the flowers but before i can take them, charli grabs them and puts them in a vase. josh laughs while i roll my eyes.
josh: you ready you: sure charli: have fun! not too much fun. be back by midnight you: do you ever shut the fuck up?
josh and i go get in his car.
josh: you look beautiful you: thank you *smiles
he starts to drive while keeping a hand placed on my thigh. i look down and realize one of the bruises on my stomach was showing. i quickly cover it and josh looks at me furrowing his brows.
josh: you good? you: yep *smiles
we get to some place for dinner. i don't know the name but it wasn't really fancy. just nice. we sit and talk until our food comes.
josh: so. it's completely fine if your not ready- but i wanted to ask you. will you be my girlfriend?
i give him a smile. he genuinely cares about me and wants me to be happy. i really do love him.
you: yes joshua
after our dinner we walk around downtown just taking and having fun. we even stopped for icecream but knowing how clumsy i am, i dropped some on my shirt. josh just laughs before helping me get it off. we make it to my house around 9:30.
josh: i'll pick you up for school tomorrow morning you: ok
he places a quick kiss on my cheek before leaving. i go inside to see all my family on the couch talking.
charli: how was it?! you: good
i just shrug and go to my room. i hear charli running up the stairs behind me.
charli: your first EVER date can't be just good!
i laugh.
you: fine. it was great. i have a boyfriend now
once again i shrug but hold back how much i wanna smile.
charli: finally!!!!!!
she screams and hugs me. then all she wants to do is talk about the fact i have a boyfriend. i listen to her ramble on about it. without thinking of it i rub my neck because it hurts.
charli: is that a hickey? *laughs
oh shit.
you: ya um stupid josh
i fake laugh to cover. fucking chase! at least charli bought it. finally i go to my room and sleep. in the morning i get ready and go downstairs for breakfast.
meredith: you better hurry or your gonna be late dixie: i'm leaving. you guys want a ride? charli: ya you: going with josh
as i say it i plop a grape in my mouth. dixie and charli leave while i finish eating. i hear a horn honk so i grab my bag and run outside getting in josh's car.
josh: good morning you: morning
ugh. i hate school. like it's so fucking boring for no reason. and what really sucks is i have no classes with josh or bryce since they're seniors. i only have one with charli. i'm also socially awkward so like- i don't talk to random people in my classes. fuck my life.
