josh: now can we go back?
mads: fine you big baby

we all drive back to sway and josh tries to go lay in his bed because he's tired.

dixie: no no no
you: fine joshua. let's let the big baby go take a little nap

josh smiles as he drags me to his room.

you: did you actually wanna nap or did you just wanna get me alone

he smirks and i hit his arm.

josh: i mean i did wanna nap but we could-
you: nap it is

we lay on his bed holding eachother. josh naps about 2 hours while i play with his hair and watch tv. it's around 5:30 when i wake him up.

you: j wake up. josh

he slowly begins to move.

you: go get ready

josh: for whattttttt
you: you and i are going for dinner
josh: just us?
you: mhm
josh: ok

i give him a quick kiss goodbye before going to my apartment. i've gotta look nice because the restaurant is a little fancy. while we're there, our friends are gonna set up a party back at sway that i'll then bring josh to. i just wear a tight shirt black dress and curl my hair. simple but cute. then i facetime josh.

josh: yes?
you: dress nice. we're going to BOA
josh: yes!!!!

that's his favorite place for steak.

you: ok. i'll come get you in like 20 minutes?
josh: ok.
you: love you
jodh: love you too

i hang up and finish getting ready. once i'm good, i go downstairs.

charli: will you help me get the party shit in my car?
you: ya

all the decorations and shit were here so josh wouldn't see them. we load everything in her car so she can drive there when josh and i are out.

charli: i'll text you once we're done setting up. but do NOT bring him back til i text you
you: got it

i drive off to sway where josh is waiting outside. he's in a navy blue button down and some jeans. he sees me pull up and gets in the car.

josh: i was thinking. boa is kinda expensive. let me pay-
you: no. it's your birthday
josh: then let's just go eat somewhere less expensive
you: joshua enough. we're going to boa and i'm paying. you pay for me everywhere you go. it's my turn

he gives up knowing he's not gonna win this one. we get to boa and get our reserved table. after ordering, i hand josh a small gift bag.

josh: you didn't have to get me anything
you: shut up and open it

he laughs and opens the bag to find two small boxes. in one, was a nice watch. josh wears his apple watch pretty much everywhere but he wanted a dressy one. in the other were 2 chains. one gold and one silver. he loves to wear chains.

josh: thank you baby. i love it all

he leans over the small table kissing my cheek before returning to his seat. finally the food comes and i laugh as josh fills his mouth with the amazing steak.

you; how was your birthday so far?
josh: it was great. kinda reminded me of home. the skating. and also having steak. my dad would always grill for me on my birthday

he frowns a little at remembering his dad. i reach over and grab his hand.

the bill comes and i grab it, getting my card out.

josh: how much was it?
you: it's not bad
josh: how much?
you: only like 165
josh: carson! that's a lot. we only had 2 steak dinners and 2 drinks.
you: it's always this much j. and you normally pay. i'm paying this time.

the waiter comes back and takes my card. once i get it back, we leave walking around downtown Los Angelos. it's beautiful at night with all the lights and stars. we walk along the streets holding hands and looking up in the sky. i feel my phone vibrate. when josh isn't paying attention i check it and see charli told me to come.

you: can we go back j? my legs are kinda tired
josh: sure. i'll drive

we get in the car and he drives us to sway. once we get in the driveway i text charli we're here. all the lights in the house are off when we walk in.

josh: why's it so damn dar-

"SURPRISE!!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH"

the lights turn on as tons of people jump out. josh just stands there smiling. he thanks everyone and we party all night long. i love my life.
