i'm gonna let him apologize. i still won't want anything to do with him but i'll let him say sorry. i head to dixies room.

you: i need you to come with me
dixie: where? just take josh or bryce or charli

she doesn't look up from her phone.

you: chase wants to apologize.

she knows if i take josh or bryce they'll kill him. if i take charli, we'll i don't wanna do that. she took it all tough because she loved him.

dixie: are you sure you wanna see him?

i nod

dixie: ok then. let's go

she throws a sweatshirt on and we walk to the park. while we wait for chase we walk around talking. then we see him. we all go sit at a picnic table. him across from us. he's staying quiet and refuses to look at me.

dixie: well?
chase: i am so so so sorry.
dixie: sorry is NOT enough for what you put her through.
chase: i know. but i really am sorry. i was in such a bad place that time. i was high and drunk everyday. i know that's not an excuse though. what i did to you was- unbelievable. i cant live with myself for doing those things. i truly feel horrible. you didn't deserve any of that. i know you'll never forgive me- any of you- and i accept that. i just want you to know how terribly sorry i am.

he looks me in the eyes and i can tell he's being 100% honest. i let out a little sigh before speaking.

you: it's ok
dixie: carson. this is not ok!
you: i forgive you chase

they both look at me completely mind blown.

you: just because i forgive you doesn't mean i wanna be around you though. so- we can be on good terms- but i don't wanna see eachother or speak unless it's an emergency
chase: i respect that

i smile a little.

chase: thank you for letting me apologize

i nod. then dixie and i get up walking away.

dixie: bryce and josh aren't gonna be happy with you for doing that
you: that's why they aren't gonna find out

she rolls her eyes that i wanna lie to them. i mean it's not lying unless they ask which i don't think they will. we go home and i see josh texted me.
