Almost an hour after Wooyoung had excused himself, Jongho had decided he should call it a night, not long after followed by San, and Yeosang who was worried about Wooyoung.

It was then, as the night had started to wind down, that San spoke up. 'Min-ah. I think I'm going to head home. Are you going to stay?'

'I kind of want to go to uni for a bit. I left my laptop there to study...'

'But it's so late!' San shot him a concerned glance, to which Mingi rolled his eyes.

'San-ah, it's fine. It's literally only one more stop on the bus than our dorms.'

'Still! It's like, almost midnight...' He looked at Mingi with eyes that begged him to reconsider.

That was, until Yunho stood up. 'I'll go with him.'

And immediately, San calmed, shooting him a wide, grateful smile. 'Thank's Yun~.'

And so the three stood and said their farewells, all heading off towards the bus stop, leaving the eldest two to chat among themselves.

The bus didn't take too long, and as they boarded, Yunho let Mingi and San slip into a seat, choosing instead to sit in front of them.

'Well that was chaotic,' Mingi said, his voice as soft as usual, but somehow seeming even quieter now that they weren't surrounded by the buzzing sheen of constant noise.

San's eyes widened in agreement as he nodded. 'Yeah, chaotic... You're telling me.' He gave Mingi a glance that Yunho caught, but didn't really understand.

However Mingi seemed to understand, and his eyes widened a tiny bit in surprise.

'Seonghwa looks close with that other doctor with the red hair. Kim Saem was it?' Mingi said, and while San smirked.

Yunho missed the mark completely. 'Those other three are all close. I saw that Wooyoung guy kiss Kim Saem on the head at least twice.'

San and Mingi looked at each other, but once again, Yunho missed it.

Mingi spoke up. 'I was talking to Yeosang, the fourth year, and he said that they've known each other since they were in nappies.'

San felt himself relax a little. He hadn't realised he was that tense thinking about the way Wooyoung treated the others, but suddenly he seemed more at ease...

'That's a really long time...' Yunho murmured, his train of thought suddenly being distracted as a twinkle of light reflecting off of Mingi's bracelet caught his eye for a moment. It blinked as the bus passed each streetlight.

'I really liked the other guys,' Mingi said as he pulled his legs up to sit cross legged - his left knee resting on top of San's thigh. 'They seem really nice and energetic.' He turned to Yunho, reaching forward to tap him on the shoulder to get his attention. 'Your student's really sweet.'

Yunho's eyes widened. 'W-what?'

Mingi smiled softly. 'Y'know, he's really excited and naïve, but not in a bad way. He's so innocent and open minded.' His eyes met with Yunho's as he spoke. 'You brought him so that he could see that med isn't all rainbows and butterflies, didn't you?'

Yunho nodded, a little surprised that Mingi was on the same page as him. 'I didn't want to scare him, but.. I sometimes feel like he doesn't really see the whole picture...'

'It's like he's looking at it through romantic, rosy lenses?'

The corner of Yunho's lips turned up, amazed once again with how Mingi acted. 'Yeah...'

'Is that such a bad thing though?' San asked, tearing both of their attention off of each other.

Mingi shrugged. 'Maybe. But also maybe not.'

And if Yunho had been surprised by Mingi before, those few little words surprised him the most. It was as though he knew all too well the pain that medicine could bring - the things that you had to give up...

And yet he was still smiling.

Yunho felt like he would never, not be surprised by Mingi.
