San and Yunho stood near the door to Wooyoung's room, listening to the soft laughter and murmured voices of Wooyoung and Hongjoong drifting over to them. There was a soft glow of sunlight in the room today, as Wooyoung had finally felt well enough to be awake for longer and had wanted to look out the window.

However as they arrived at his room, Wooyoung's eyes noticed their movement, and he tried to lean forward. 'San-ah~.'

San waved, smiling softly, and Yunho watched, eyes following his every movement.

'Oh, Yunho too~.'

Yunho gave him a small wave and a smile, which Wooyoung gladly returned.

'You guys can come in if you like,' Hongjoong said warmly.

Taking a mask from the box next to the door, San passed one to Yunho and gave him a soft nod.

And so Yunho followed him in, donning his mask before stepping in.

San walked around to the free side of the bed and took Wooyoung's hand in his. 'Ooo, Wooyoung, you don't have a cannula in your hand anymore,' he said cheerily, noticing right away.

'Wooyoung was super excited for it to come out,' Hongjoong said as Wooyoung smiled shyly.

'Is it likely to stay out this time?' San asked genuinely.

'I think it's probably out for good this time, if nothing adverse happens,' Hongjoong explained, sitting back in the soft chair beside the bed.

'You're happy this morning. Were you happy that I left you for a while?' San teased, making Wooyoung pout.

'No. I missed you~.'

Yunho stood, somewhat awkwardly, as San brushed his hair from his eyes, smiling.

'Woo was in a bit of pain after you left, San, so they gave him some pain relief and now he's extra chirpy.'

Wooyoung looked at his Hyung, a pout on his face. 'I still want to go home.'

'Of course you do, baby. I know you do. But we're waiting till your bloods are all clear.' Hongjoong brushed Wooyoung blonde hair back from his face. 'You need a haircut,' he laughed, tucking a lock behind his ear.

'I could get one if I go home?' he offered, and Yunho found himself smirking slightly. The boy was extremely determined to go home. It was sad, but it was also quite endearing.

His movement caught Wooyoung's attention, and the blonde gazed up at him from his bed. 'Yunho~.'

He laughed. 'Hi~. You are looking much better today.'

Wooyoung beamed. 'That's because I've been sleeping non stop.'

The corner of Yunho's mouth pulled up as he moved to sit on the armrest of San's chair. 'Sleep is good. I'm jealous.'

Hongjoong judged god brother's shoulder. 'See, Woo. I told you people would be jealous.'

'But I feel bad because people come and go and I don't see them...'

'Woo, hun, don't feel bad. All of us want you to rest so you can get better as soon as possible. And you should want to as well. The sooner your bloods clear, the sooner you stop feeling so unwell. And the sooner you're feeling better, the sooner we can get you up and about, and we can go home.'

Wooyoung's doe eyes with medication induced wide pupils fell ever so softly on Hongjoong's face at the mention of going home, and Yunho's heart tugged. He'd seen so many of his parents' patients over the years, and it was really true that no matter the age of the person in the bed or on the examining table, everyone just wanted one thing - to be better, and to go home.

'Can we really go home? I don't like it here. It's scary and it smells like chemicals...'

Hongjoong stood up, ruffling his hair and then play biting him on the head through his mask. 'Yes, baby. We're gunna go home, and Hyung is going to look after you.'

'B-but, what about your work?'

'Don't worry about me, hun. I'm not worried, and therefore you shouldn't be either.' He brushed his cheeks delicately like fine artwork before sitting back down. 'Now look at you. San came all this way, and even brought a friend to come see you, and you're all worked up talking to me.'

As Yunho glanced up, his eyes met with Hongjoong's whose shoulders lifted a little as he silently chuckled.

'Sannie, when I get better, will you come visit me at home?'

Yunho watched as San lifted one of his hands and gently brushed the skin over his cheek. 'Of course I will~.' He returned his hand to brush at Wooyoung's wrist and hand, and Yunho watched in surprise.

It was then that Yunho realised he wouldn't be able to avoid it...

I guess we'll be having that talk, after all.
