Mingi was surprised when Yunho picked him up, exactly on time, and took him to uni. He didn't know where he thought they'd be going, but uni hadn't come to mind. He wasn't dressed for it - with his casual jeans, sweater and coat - and he felt uncomfortable. There were still a few people about on campus, finishing up from their study, and as Yunho walked him through the grounds, Mingi pulled his coat around him further.

Yunho was walking slower and with less conviction than usual, and with his hands in his pockets, it made Mingi laugh softly. 'What's up with you tonight? When am I allowed to know where we're going?'

Yunho turned around and walked backwards, watching Mingi with a smile. 'Nothing up with me. Perhaps I just wanted to enjoy the sights a little before we go,' he said, his voice full of amusement. He gazed up at the sky, and Mingi found himself following suit.

'It's so nice at night,' Mingi murmured under his breath, and he didn't realise Yunho heard it until he replied with,

'You have mentioned that before.'

Mingi looked over at him and laughed a little. 'Am I not allowed to say it again? Nothing has changed. I still think it's beautiful at night.'

Yunho shook his head, a smirk on his face. 'You can say it as many times as you want. I'll listen every time.'

The last part of his sentence sparked Mingi's attention. Maybe it was because it was said so carelessly, yet genuinely, that it made his heart leap a little...

Yunho reached forward and took his wrist, pulling him forward. 'Come on, there's something I want to see first.  I think you'll like it.'

-

Mingi gasped. Unconsciously taking a hold of Yunho's arm, Mingi stared straight ahead. 'How did you know about this...?'

Right before him, was the same muriel painting on the side of the arts building that Mingi had seen a million times picking up San from classes. But never once had he seen it at night.

At night, the colours all glowed, and the scene became a magical garden with golden glitters in amongst swirling colours and glowing wildlife - rabbits and deer and birds and fairies...

Yunho, hands in his pockets and unbothered by Mingi idly clinging to his side, sighed. 'San told me about it years ago, but I never got around to coming to see it.'

'It's beautiful,' Mingi breathed. Letting go of Yunho's arm, he stepped forward to see up close. From here, he could see little intricate details, things he hadn't seen before. 'Look,' he breathed, turning to see Yunho looking right at him. It made his stomach feel a little light, momentarily distracting him from the painting...

'What's there?' Yunho asked, walking up.

Mingi cleared his throat, turning back to the artwork. He pointed to a little corner where a tiny, small brush work detail of a fairy inside of a water droplet was glowing and shimmering in the moonlight.

'That's incredible,' Yunho breathed, his arm brushing Mingi's.

'It's so pretty... I can't believe I've never seen this before...' He glanced up at Yunho. 'Thank you, for bringing me here...'

He smiled. 'I figured I needed to give you something to remember.'

Mingi frowned. 'What do you mean?'

Yunho gave him a small smile before taking his wrist again. 'Come with me.'
