Wooyoung awoke to Hongjoong resting his head on the side of his bed with his forehead against his shoulder. His hand laid over Woo's forearm as he breathed deeply, eyes closed with his dark lashes resting over his cheeks.

He's sleeping...

Wooyoung gently moved his cannula free left hand up to brush the boy's hair for a moment before retracting, not wanting to wake him.

After having managed to eat an entire half sandwich last night with Seonghwa, and actually keep it down, Wooyoung was surprised to feel that he was hungry again. He looked for the other half of the sandwich, but it was nowhere to be found.

Instead, he reached over, grunting a little as an ache deep inside him pained. But it was bearable, only just, but as he reached for the glass of water on the bedside table, he had to try hard not to grunt in pain.

The glass was heavier than he'd expected. It was a struggle to hold it in his grasp, especially since he'd had people to help him and hold it for him when he was too weak to do it himself, but today was different. He managed alone and took a sip, before trying to put it back without it falling and tipping water everywhere.

Glancing out the tiny gap in the curtain, he could see the morning sun coming up, and that orange-y-blue glow that seemed to wake him up.

Pulling his blankets up a bit to ward against the hospital cold, Wooyoung wriggled his toes.

It'd be nice to have a shower... he thought.

But just as he started fantasising about the feeling of actually having a shower and feeling the warm beads of water washing away his time in hospital, movement from the doorway caught his attention and pulled him from his daydream, as well as Hongjoong from his sleep.

Yeosang and Kim Sa Bu walked into the room, Yeosang with fresh clothes on and damp hair, and Kim Sa Bu in his scrubs as per usual.

Hongjoong sat up, rubbing his eyes, but upon seeing the doctor, he immediately snapped to attention.

'Morning everyone,' Dr. Kim said cheerfully, putting Wooyoung's chart down on the foot of his bed.

'Good morning...' Wooyoung replied softly as Yeosang came around to the left side of his bed.

'You're looking much more colourful this morning,' Kim Sa Bu said with a grin. 'Feeling better?'

Wooyoung nodded shyly. 'Yes, I am...'

'Good! I'll bet you want to hear the news.'

Wooyoung founded, looking between Hongjoong and Yeosang as though they might know something he didn't.

'The blood test results are back.'

And that drew everyone's attention. Hongjoong sat up so straight as his eyes darted between Wooyoung and the doctor, Yeosang looking much the same. Hongjoong took Wooyoung's hand in his own as the three held their breath for the results.

The room stilled.

'Wooyoung, your system is clear of infection.'

Tears spilled all around, and the three boys hugged each other. It was the news that they had been hoping for, for what had felt like an eternity, and all Wooyoung could think was, 'does that mean I can go home now?'

Kim Sa Bu smiled widely. 'That means, we can start getting you up more with the physios, and even with your Hyungs, and once we put a discharge plan together, yes, Wooyoung. You'll be going home.'

Wooyoung felt tears spill down his cheeks. He was so happy. He was going to be going home. He glanced at Hongjoong and Yeosang, who looked like they'd just been given the news of a lifetime. Wooyoung hadn't seen them that happy in what felt like ages. He felt elated.

'You still need to rest though!' Dr Kim said, chuckling. 'You're still recovering from surgery.'

'C-can I have a shower...?'

The doctor smiled. 'Of course you can. Once you get up with the physios this morning, Then you can get up and have. a shower. either the nurses or your Hyungs, whoever you feel comfortable with, can help you. I'll write a medication order for light painkillers that won't make you drowsy, and once you're getting up and about more, we'll take your catheter out. How's that?'

Wooyoung smiled. 'Good~.' He squeezed his Hyung's hands.

I'm going home.

It was all that he could think about.

I'm going home.
