Tarik, Tyrik, Rik.... it didn't matter to me; in fact, the only thing that matter to me was getting the man that was rightfully MINE! Now I don't want y'all to think that I'm some crazy obsessed bitch who feels like he's entitled to someone because that definitely wasn't the case. I had known Ka'Jai for the longest, I remember the day vividly I was being chased by some boys during recess because I'd rather twerk with the girls than play football; the teachers were no help and when they cornered me, someone else took their attention away. Ka'Jai was always the tallest in our class, so he tended to draw attention but I'm sure any dude would've drawn attention to themselves if they twisted their shirt so that it looked like they were wearing a halter top. Most of the dudes were afraid of Ka'Jai so instead of getting mad they just laughed and made jokes, Ka'Jai didn't care though, he just went on making a show and entertaining the boys while giving me the 'get the fuck outta here' look. Ka'Jai was always protecting me, from elementary school all the way up to high school and it seemed like our timelines were always off; either I was talking to someone or he was entertaining some balded girl until he finally came out, and then he met my biggest competition that stuck up bitch Kairo.......

"This is cute... what's in it?" I asked picking up the present that was perfectly wrapped on Kairo's bed. He was sitting at his mirror doing something with his hair and I had an interesting thought... if I were to take this lighter in my pocket and set his hair on fire, how long would it take for it to go up in flames? With all the shyt he put in his hair, I'm guessing not long... but that would be stupid because there's no way I'd make it out of here with all his dad's men lingering around.

"Just something Ka'Jai dropped off over here... I really wanna open it but I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow that way I can Facetime him and he can see my reaction." Kairo said looking at me through his mirror, I swear if wasn't so caught up in his own reflection he'd clearly see the hatred I had for him in my eyes. "Since we're on the subject of gifts I got you something as well... it's on my dresser. I got up and looked at three envelopes one with my name, one with Fitz's name, and one with Ashanti's name on it.

"You got Mauricio's baby mom something? I didn't realize y'all were close." I said opening the envelope and pulling out ten hundred dollar bills.

"Yeah... she's actually been really helpful with some.... things I've been going through, she's coo as fuck and I wanted to pay her back for being my therapist." Kairo said shrugging. "I didn't know what to get but money is just as good as presents." Kairo said and I rolled my eyes because he was always flaunting his money around, like damn bitch we know your dad got money....

"Ummm thanks..... and now I feel bad for taking this because of what's been happening." I said in a fake sad voice. "Umm.... I told Ka'Jai what happened." I said avoiding his eyes even though I really wanted to see his reaction.

"What exactly happened?" Kairo asked confused.

"You know.... that night your dad went out of town and we were chillin here with them dudes..... I told Ka'Jai what happened that night and well.... he was pissed. Look I'm sorry but he was telling me how much he missed you and the guilt was eating me up." I said as my voice cracked from the strain of trying not to laugh.

"Uhh.... nothing happened that night, we smoked with them, that's it." Kairo said. "Now whatever happened after I went to sleep has nothing to do with me so Ka'Jai has no reason to be mad at me..... and honestly he has no reason to be mad at you either."

"So you and that dude didn't...." I asked knowing he was full of shyt, I know when we went to the store to get some more wraps, we left Kairo here with one of the dudes and we were gone for a while.... plus the dude that I was fuckin with on the sly told me that Kairo had been getting fucked by his boy for a while.
