Mauricio was more pissed about the hit from Nayquinn than I was, it's whatever I mean we're playing basketball and shyt happens; my eye was red as fuck and I was lowkey scared to see Piru because I knew he was going to flip. I stood in the mirror checking my eye when Mauricio walked in, I pulled out the money and gave him half because that was my bro and if I had money then he had money, plus I knew that would calm him down a little. Once I got my eye situated, I was tempted to grab some food but I had a prior engagement that I couldn't or wouldn't miss. I walked outside and saw Piru's cousin's car waiting across the street and I couldn't help but smile, there was just something about this dude that was... Piru started honking the horn impatiently and under normal circumstances, his ass would've got punch but this was a special case so I was going to give him a pass. I slid in the passenger seat next and Piru gave me and a quick kiss before speeding off, twenty minutes later we were pulling up to a library and I could tell he was nervous, so I grabbed his face and made him look at me and instantly his nervousness turned into confidence as we got out the car and walked inside. She was almost impossible to miss, with her bright purple hair and the fact that she was smacking her gum made everyone look at her.
"Nigga you are late as fuck..." Piru's baby mom Shawnee said blowing a big ass bubble and popping it loudly, I looked over at the clock on the wall and saw that the time was 6:00:29, really twenty-nine seconds is considered late as fuck? I really wanted to say something but it wasn't my place, Piru gripped my hand a little tighter and I could see his jawline clenching through his perfectly trimmed beard.
"I'm.... sorry.... I should've been more considerate of your time." Piru forced out and I could see that it pained him to get those words out. "Where's Enrico?" Piru asked looking around for his son and saw him over in the children's section reading a book upside down, but hey at least he was trying.
"Make sure you have him back to me at exactly six o'clock Piru, I'm not playing either if you are even one second late I will call the police on you and have your ass thrown right back into jail. Bye Marcelino...." Shawnee said licking her lips as she walked past me.
"I really regret the second I responded to her DM.... I could've saved myself a lot of drama and headaches had I just ignored her." Piru said shaking his head. "I have to thank her though because she gave me the greatest gift in the world." Piru said looking over at his son.
"She wants my dick... you see the way she was looking at me?" I asked Piru who rolled his eyes and started walking over to his son. Piru's son Enrico looked at us walking over and jumped up, he ran right past his dad and jumped in my arms.
"I'm leaving both of y'all here...." Piru said walking off clearly jealous but I knew he wouldn't leave either one of us here, he wasn't that crazy. "Something else I forgot to say the last time we talked, thank you... I don't know too many people who would look after their dude's son while he was locked up and you did it without me even having to ask." Piru said.
"Nigga we've been through this a million times, we're in this together.... so it's not about you thanking me, I was just doing the right thing. I said I got you which means I got him, you just better be lucky that Shawnee for some strange reason is in love with me otherwise she wouldn't let me anywhere near Enrico." I said.
"What happened to your eye?" Piru asked looking at me.
"Nice of you to finally notice, but it's nothing just a little pickup game at school." I said shrugging. "Enrico what do you want for dinner?" I asked changing the subject because I really didn't want to keep talking about it, I would tell Piru eventually but I hated when he got pissed in front of his son. Enrico wanted chicken nuggets and Piru wanted seafood so we went to this restaurant overlooking Lake Washington and Piru stared at me while I looked at the menu. "Why are you staring at me like that Piru?" I asked smiling.
