Let's go back to before I broke Ja'Koda's jaw, before I had to talk my big brother out of flying up here and putting a bullet in Ja'Koda's ass, before Mauricio cussed me out, before I drove out of the city limits leaving all of them niggas stranded in Portland. The trip started off good as fuck if I'm being honest, we arrived in Portland them niggas got some weed, I got the drinks, we met up with one of my boys who played for the TrailBlazers, he threw a little day party with some strippers and we were just having a damn good first day... until we weren't. I had noticed that nigga Ja'Koda eyeing me the entire time, like he wanted to say something but couldn't figure out what, I was trying my damndest to keep quiet when in all actuality I should've been pressing down on him about my money, sure he gave me half but the way he kept staring it was getting to the point were I wanted all of it. Then it stopped Ja'Koda seemed more interested in the strippers and I was just going through the motions, my focused lied mainly on what to get Mauricio for his birthday this week and while we weren't technically a couple yet, I remember him saying that he's never received a birthday present and I wanted to change that.
"I knew Trell shouldn't have invited Ja'Koda, I mean that's my boy and everything but at the same time I know y'all niggas are beefin and...." Piru said shaking his head. "This trip was supposed to be drama-free and yet Ja'Koda just can't get over the fact that Mauricio doesn't want him anymore.
"That's not my problem... until it is, whatever he and Mauricio had is over and done with based on his actions, now he can be mad at me for pursuing Mauricio but at the end of the day Mauricio is free to make his own choices and right now he's choosing me. Ja'Koda just needs to accept it or get dealt with." I said glancing over at him as he made out with some white stripper.
"Let me reiterate my stance from when this all started.... leave me the fuck out of it. I got love for both of y'all but I gotta do what's best for me and my relationship and I know my dude is always going to have Mauricio's back and by default, I gotta side with Marcelino. So as much as you've done for me, and as much as Ja'Koda's my boy... I'm Team Mauricio." Piru said.
"And I respect that, and I won't put you in any position to fuck up with Marcelino because we both know he'd beat your ass." I said smiling, Piru was about to say something smart but his cousin Lamonte walked over and pulled him to the side. I stood there watching as everyone had a good time and I decided to call and check on Mauricio.
"How's y'alls trip going?" I asked knowing that they had just gotten there not to long ago.
"Coo so far, we didn't do shyt besides walk around campus and shyt, we just went out to eat and now everyone is heading for bed... nothing too crazy to report. But what about you, it sounds like y'all are having a blast and don't act like I didn't see them hoes on your Snap." Mauricio said and I could tell he was smiling.
"Yeah we're at this little kick back at one of my boys and of course he had to invite strippers but I'm not interested in none of these girls.... so what are we going to do about our situation?" I asked just to see where his head was at, me and Mauricio had found ourselves in a few positions where we were both close to having sex but always stopped.
"I told you what I wanted.... before we get into a relationship I wanna know that you're a hundred percent committed to me, this trip will allow us to reflect; am I ready to get involved with a dude like you and are you ready to deal with someone as broke as me." Mauricio said and I hated that he thought of himself as broken but I also knew all the hell him and Marcelino had gone through. "I'll let you think on that, I'm about to take my ass to sleep."
"Aight man, you better call me as soon as you wake up in the morning." I said and after getting reassurance that he would, we hung up and I started to head back into the party but I was distracted by that dude Braxton walking off. Even though I had just met him a few weeks ago, we already shared a connection through our fraternity, so seeing him upset I was bound by blood to check on him. "Ayy you good?" I asked as he paced around and swinging his arms and I had seen this before because my boy Taryl did that whenever he got mad.
"Nah man, dude got one more time to say something about my bro....." Braxton said and I knew he was talking about Ja'Koda. "Like, I'm with the shyts and I'll kill for Marcelino and Mauricio so for Ja'Koda to be..... forget about it, it's nothing I can't handle."
"Hold up what happened?" I asked because I was only gone for like three minutes.
"Just that nigga being a fuckin clown, like I don't play when it comes to them two they've been through hell and I'm not with the jokey joke shyt. The strippers stepped out for a second and someone asked him if he's ever been with a dude and he said yeah but it wasn't anything serious and how the dude is still on his dick, but when Trell called him out he tried to say he was just playing but that shyt was disrespectful and if we weren't in your boys house I would beat his ass..... I gotta call my lil dude." Braxton said walking off and I decided to go see if Ja'Koda still had that same energy.
"Preme....." Trell said reading my face as soon as I walked back into the room but he needed to chill I wasn't going to say shyt unless Ja'Koda did. "That nigga is drunk, don't pay him any attention." Trell said and I was going to leave it alone until Ja'Koda looked at me, there was something about the way he looked that just.......
"Ayy round them niggas up, we're about to go back to the crib. I'm about to go let my boy know about we're leaving." I said and Trell seemed to understand that this wasn't up for debate. "Ayy bro we're about to head out...." I said knocking on his bedroom door and I could tell what he was doing with them strippers. He stepped out and I shook my head this nigga didn't give a fuck.
"Damn y'all just got here.... and them girls seemed really interested in you and a few of your boys, I was hoping they could entertain the girls while we duck off." He said eyeing me lustfully, full disclosure I knew dude had a homie crush on me. He was straight but he was willing to experiment with me because we were boys and he trusted me not to say anything, basically he was homiesexual.
"Nah, I'm kinda talking to someone but I'll definitely hit you up later." I said dappin him up before walking off. The car ride back to my place in Seattle was tense to say the least, everyone one seemed to be holding their breath because they knew the explosion that was going to take place as soon as we got back.
"Y'all not going to fight are y'all?" Piru asked and I shrugged. "What do you think Mauricio is going to say? I know for a fact he's not going to like you fighting his battles for him." Piru said and he may be right but it wasn't in my DNA to let someone disrespect somebody I was pursuing especially not a nigga like Ja'Koda.
We arrived back and I decided it would be best for everyone if we didn't go inside just yet... because I didn't want to fuck up my shyt and I plus I didn't want to be tempted to go for my gun. Ja'Koda stumbled out of the other car and it was clear that nigga was beyond drunk.... now I see this going one of two ways he could either get that liquid courage or he could throw up.
"Ja'Koda man to man... I'm going to need for you to stop discussing Mauricio, y'all not together anymore so the way I see it you shouldn't have an opinion on him at all." I said calmly and this nigga had the audacity to smirk.
"Bruh, the way I see it..... sssince my dick has been down Mauri's throat and his dick has been in my ass for the rest of our lives I'm allowed to have an opinion on him. I don't give a fuck who he's talking to at the moment, but let's be real if I wanted him back all I have to do is say the word." Ja'Koda said confidently.
"Ayy that's my little cousin you're talking about." Trell said. "And my little bro." Braxton added. I stood there surveying the scene, Braxton and Trell were off to my side while Piru's cousin Lamonte and that nigga Wayne were hanging by Ja'Koda, Piru was in the middle.
"I'm going to keep it real with y'all.... Mauricio still wants me, in fact once we get back to Seattle I'm going to make it my sole mission to get my dude away from his fuck nig......" I was too quick, before he could even finish his sentence my fist had connected with his jaw and he was tumbling back with his eyes rolling into the back of his head. Don't ask me why but that nigga Lamonte decided he wanted to defend his boy but trying to swing on me, Piru tried to push him back but ended up taking most of the hit on the chin which caused Piru to go off and start fighting his cousin. I was so caught up in their fight that I didn't even realize that Ja'Koda had gotten up, and was now coming towards me with something in his hand until it was too late........................
