There were three doors in front of me; Petty, Super Petty, and You're Going To Hate Me Petty, see Kairo had all these people defending; Fitz, Tyrik, the twins, and even Will was telling me to get all the facts.... but nah fuck that. See Petty Me was telling me to pull up over there and fuck up Kairo's car, I'm talking about flattening all his tires, throwing a brick through his window, keying the fuck outta the paint, and putting sugar in his tank (bitch move, I know but I was heated). Super Petty Me was contemplating going over there and beating the fuck outta both Kairo and Quincy, then popping up over Shane's house and giving him some dick, possibly recording it and sending it to Kairo. But then there was You're Going To Hate Me, see if I was a grimey ass nigga I'd hit up Kairo's cousin, I knew it would take next to nothing to fuck that dude and even though he's never tried anything with me, sometimes you just know when someone is secretly interested in you. I should probably hit him up under the guise of needing to talk and from there it would be almost comical how easy it would be to get him back here.... but nah I wanted to fight.
"Are we going over there or what?" Mauricio asked sliding on some sweatpants and walking into my room with Denzel right behind him. "We're going to let you go one on one with your cousin and to make sure you don't get jumped."
"He doesn't have a choice in the matter, we're going with him whether he wants us to or not. Matter fact I'm about to call Eddie and Izaia so they can meet us over there, it's been a while since I've been in a fight." Denzel said smiling and I sat there looking at him because I could've sworn he had got into a fight just last week. "Look Ka'Jai... I got a lot of anger from them niggas jumping my little bro and I don't wanna go to Columbus angry because I'm not trying to get into it with them niggas over something little... so just let us come and if you want I'll fight Kairo if you're too emotionally invested in it."
"If I decide to go over there I'll let y'all know.... right now there's somewhere I need to be." I said and they moved to block the door. "Man I'm not going over there, y'all have my word.... I'm about to go talk to my boy Shane." I said and they looked at each other and shrugged, I walked downstairs and grabbed the keys before heading out.
"What do you want Ka'Jai?" Shane asked as I walked into his bedroom, his mom loved me so she didn't even blink when I knocked on the door.
"I wanted to chill...." I said smiling and Shane rolled his eyes.
"No...." He said and I stood there confused. "Ka'Jai you are a fucked up nigga forreal.... Do I look stupid to you? I'm not a pawn in this game between you and Kairo, because I know that's the only reason you came over here. Kairo must've done something to piss you off and you wanna get back at him because you know it'll piss him off the most." Shane said looking at me.
"It's not.... I mean.... you know it's not even like that." I stuttered and Shane smirked.
"It's exactly like that, you know Kairo doesn't like me because of our past friendship and you know that he already thinks something went on between us. Not to mention I'm not one of the popular niggas he hangs around, I'm that weird ass nigga that keeps to himself and doesn't interact with the other niggas at our school; I'm into anime and fantasy stories, I'm don't put much stock into labels, and I actually care about people's feelings... basically, I'm the exact opposite of Kairo so naturally, we don't get along." Shane said looking directly into my eyes.
"And I bet it doesn't help that you have feelings for me." I said sitting on the bed next to him and he nodded slightly. "What am I supposed to do Shane? Kairo is over there right now and every cell in my body is screaming for me to fuck shyt up."
"Only you can make that decision... but I'm staying out of it because I have to protect my feelings.... which is why you can't keep coming over here." Shane said getting up and opening his bedroom door. "Maybe one day you'll grow the fuck up and see that you're better than all this drama until then.... take it easy, Ka'Jai." Shane said kissing me on the cheek as I walked out of the room.
