I loved going to an all-boys school, you'd think that it would be difficult because of my sexuality but there were so many gay/bi dudes here that it was normal and the straight dudes here were more excepting than normal school because they're constantly surrounded by gay/bi men. I also hated going to an all-boys school because of stupidity, I mean dudes were idiots, the school year just started and drama was already at a ten; dudes fuckin with each other's boyfriends, dudes getting caught fuckin in the teacher's lounge, testosterone battles between the jocks, and the gossip.... I swear dudes gossiped more than females and as I sat in class I wondered how the fuck was I already caught up in a rumor; okay so apparently someone found out that I was living in a group home (no big deal) where my problem with the rumor lies in the other details that were being spread around, rumors like; massive orgies, a home for gay conversion, a secret society for 'gifted' humans, and a whole bunch of other shyt that was completely false, the one that bothered me the most was the massive orgies because as y'all know I'm in a relationship and I don't need anyone planting any seeds of doubt in Kairo's head......
"So y'all be in there just fuckin like crazy?" Kairo asked looking at me with a smirk on his face. "I mean I knew you had a freaky side, I'm just surprised that you didn't ask me to join in." Kairo said.
"Come on you've met the niggas I live with, Marcelino is IN LOVE with his dude borderline obsessed and from what I've seen they seem like they're obsessed with each other, Mauricio, Denzel, and Calvin got their own thing going on and Nayquinn is....." I was trying to think of a nice way to put it but Tarik chimed in before I could think of anything.
"Nayquinn is DL AS FUCK!" Tarik said and I looked at him because I didn't get that vibe from Nayquinn. "Don't look so surprised, sis is gay as fuck when I was over there this weekend he was focusing a little too much on my lips, giving me that 'what that mouf do' look. He may not be 'gay' gay but I'll bet my life he's let a dude suck his dick before."
"That little nigga just needs someone to dick him down properly..... Sup Tarik." My other best friend Fitz said sitting at the table, Charles Fitzgerald was complicated to say the least he claims that he's bi even though he admits that he's NEVER been with a dude and though he's constantly flirting with damn near everyone at school to my knowledge he was currently in a relationship.
"Fitz stop you're not gay, bi, or queer... you're just using our culture for popularity." Tarik said rolling his eyes, Fitz nodded his head twice before leaning over and kissing Tarik.... those two had a love/hate relationship but I knew what Fitz was doing he was trying to prove his bisexuality by kissing Tarik who didn't resist. I didn't doubt that Fitz was curious but like I said I'll have to see it to believe it. "I'm still not buying it." Tarik said once they finally broke apart.
"Feel how hard my dick is and tell me you're 'still not buying it'." Fitz said looking at Tarik who turned away as if he didn't hear him. "That's what I thought.... so what are we doing this weekend? I'm trying to do something crazy... like go on campus and sneaking into a frat party."
"The last time we did that we almost got arrested." Kairo said looking at me like it was my fault and in his defense, he was right we got pulled over and when it comes to the police I had a very antagonistic relationship with them and that went back to my childhood and how they were always fuckin with me. "But you know I'm down, so long as it's just us.... I like your new friends but I wanna do something with just our group.... oh look there goes your boy." Kairo said and I turned to see this dude named Shane walking through the cafeteria.
Aight so me and Kairo... like any relationship went through a rough patch; always arguing, ignoring each other's calls and text, going days without speaking to each other.... it wasn't pretty that where Kaine came into the picture. I wanna make things perfectly clear I NEVER cheated on Kairo, but Shane was the person I vented to.... he was a loner and we ended up getting paired up for this project and we just started talking and became close, not romantically but I knew that Shane was developing feelings for me and that's when I knew I had to stop things.... Me and Kairo got back on track and I cut Shane off completely and every time I saw him the guilt hit me like a ton of bricks.... just another name on the long list of people I've hurt.
"Chill out... Shane is a good dude." I said and Kairo shrugged. "So campus this weekend, aight bet that sounds like a plan." I said glancing over at Shane, our eyes connected and he quickly turned away, my goal for this year was to make things right with everyone I hurt and that included Shane I just hoped he was able to forgive me......
"Wassup Shitty Dick? Ayy I need you to take us to the store since that nigga Will said we had to ask you and Nayquinn is acting scared." That dude Shymal said walking into my room like he lived here. I really wasn't in the mood to deal with this fuck nigga so I got up and pushed him out my room, normally I would've beat his ass but after what happened with Quincy I didn't want to take that chance of putting someone else in the hospital.
"Man you should've whooped that nigga's ass....." Marcelino said as he did some push-ups on my floor. "See niggas think because you're gay that they can try you, so you gotta remind them, niggas of that, you're still a man....." And I get what he was saying but sometimes you just gotta let ignorance slide because you can't fight everybody.
"Fuck that nigga.... so what you got planned for the weekend?" I asked trying to see what everyone was doing, I know Kairo wanted to go on campus with our original group of friends but these dudes were slowly becoming my family and I at least wanted to invite them.
"Me and Piru got plans.... Mauricio will be spending time with Ashanti, Calvin has practice, and Denzel said something about a photo shoot. What you got planned it the question." Marcelino said and I told him about going on campus, leaving out the part about Kairo not wanting them to come. "What's wassup, y'all niggas have fun and be safe." Marcelino said, now that it was out there they couldn't say that I didn't tell them, my goal was to keep the peace in the house.
"Ayy Ka'Jai, can you come here for a second?" Big John asked and I followed him downstairs to the office where Will, Anjo, Madison, and some Asian dude were all sitting, God I hope I wasn't in any trouble. "Ka'Jai, this is....."
"Enough with the formalities John, Ka'Jai this in my boy Yin.... he's good with math and science and everything else that Asians are good at." Will said and I was offended for the dude but he smirked and shook his head.
"And that's why you're not in my wedding fucker.... anyways, Will is wrong about what I do, I'm a Software Development Manager...." Yin said and something told me that wasn't all that he did, his suit and shoes cost more than my old house so I knew he had bank. "Devin is one of my closest friends in the entire world and he tells me that you're pretty smart, brilliant was the world he used I think." Yin said.
"And what exactly do you want with me?" I asked because honestly I felt like I was being set up.
"Paid internship and apprenticeship... if you want it. One of the reasons Devin took over Brittany Hills is because he wanted to give boys like himself a chance and since he has friends in really high place he figured why not put y'all in positions where y'all will learn and make some money." Yin said and I was tempted to take him up on his offer but I was also suspicious of his motives before I could answer however my phone started ringing and the number on the screen almost caused my heart to stop.
"Can I have some time to think about it?" I asked and before they could respond I quickly walked out of the office and answered my phone. "Hel.... hello." I said stuttering as my heart began to race in my chest.
"Hello, may I speak to Ka'Jai Warner please?" The woman said and I must've said something because she continued after a few seconds of silence. "The reason I'm calling is because your name was listed on the emergency contact form for Quincy Warner.... he's awake and asked that we called you...." I don't remember much after that I just remember running out the house and speeding all the way to the hospital, when I got to Quincy's room he was staring at the wall blankly and the guilt of what I did weigh on my heart and it was only amplified when he looked at me and smiled.
"Ka'Jai.... what happened?" He asked and I knew I couldn't keep it a secret from him so I pulled up a chair next to his bed and began to tell the tale of how he eighteen months of his life...................................
