Chapter XXVIII

The first thing that caught Daisuke's attention is the blood in your neck, a blood that you get from the whippings. His eyes landed on the bruises and wounds in your body.

Before Darius can fight, Daisuke grasp Darius's neck tightly before he throw the man harshly making Darius groan in pain as his back forcefully hits the wall.

"Daisuke, you have to calm down." Haru warned but Daisuke didn't listen.

You are staring at the scenario in front of you. You don't feel scared or anything. You are just staring plainly with what's happening.

"There's only five minutes left." You whispered.

Daisuke is beating the hell out of Darius and he never felt such intense anger before. The bruises and your helpless image makes him want to turn into a demon and punish whoever hurts you.

"Daisuke! That's enough!" Haru shouted and that's when you realized that Darius is bleeding as fuck upon receiving Daisuke's wrath.

You are still staring at Darius's bleeding image as you feel a gentle hands touches yours. You look at who it was and you see Daisuke looking at you with a sharp gaze.

"Wh—"

Before you can continue, he holds your hands tight as you run rapidly towards somewhere. There are armed men and Haru's the one taking care of them.

The scenario feels so unreal. You are running rapidly but in your eyes, everything is in a slow motion. You are staring at Daisuke's hands in yours as if he's scared to let go.

Everything feels unreal.

"Can you swim, (Y/N)?"

Before you can even reply, Haru opens the vault like door and water starts entering inside the place. Haru swims outside, and Daisuke pushes you to swim with him.

The three of you are swimming away from the underwater facility. You manages to get in Daisuke's motor boat as the facility explodes but the explosion is not that intense since it is located underwater.

When your entire body is wet, that's where you feel the pain from all your wounds. The salt water from the ocean triples everything. You bite your lower lip to avoid yourself from groaning.

Haru is looking at you with concern. You are breathing hard, still fighting the pain and Daisuke is staring at you as if he has seen a precious jewel.

"S-Sir Daisuke," You whispered as you weakly lean in his chest. He wraps his arms around you as you feel his warm lips in your forehead.

"Rest, (Y/N). You did a great job."

With those words, your eyes closes and this time, you're no longer faking your unconsciousness.

"With that, you manages to take down two Mafia organizations." Suzue stated as she is talking to Haru.

They are outside your room in this new hospital that Daisuke bought. It's actually the most expensive hospital in the world and Daisuke also hire the best doctor for you.

"Fortunately. I never thought such thing will happen. Daisuke brought (Y/N) in Maldives to save her from the issues in our country, but they still experience such thing here."

Suzue nodded, "She's a tough woman. How is she?"

"Her wounds are severe. She also have broken bones and bruises. I don't know where her courage comes from but it seems like she manages to handle those injury and continue the plan."

Suzue sigh, "Her plan," Suzue smiled, "It's also a part of her plan to save me. I didn't know what she's been through but it increases my respect to (Y/N)-sama. She's not just an ordinary secretary."

"You're right, she's different and there's something about her that I can't understand at this moment. About Daisuke..." Haru paused and breath deeply, "He never leaves (Y/N)'s side since we arrive here."

Suzue smiled. She knows how Daisuke values you a lot. And she's aware of Daisuke's hidden frustration when he found out what happened to you.

"But still, it is just the beginning. I know that what happened previously triggers the other underground organizations. I'm afraid (Y/N)-sama will be caught up in this." Suzue whispered as she look in the ground, concern is visible in her eyes.

Your trip to Maldives is supposedly for a breath of fresh air.

But it turns into a not so good way.

Still, it only toughens the bond between you and Kambe Daisuke.
