I began to bandage his wounds, trying to hide the shock on my face.

There's so many...

Some of these look old too....

Has he been cutting more recently?

How did I not notice?

The other ones are from a few days ago at least...

I should've noticed

I clenched my fist.

I'm such an idiot.

"Agh... Shit...." I heard him mutter under his breath. I glanced over and noticed I was squeezing his arm tightly, causing blood to gush out of his wounds.

"Fuck, sorry... Lost in thought I guess." I let go and continued cleaning them gently.

"Hey... If you're blaming yourself for my actions, don't. You're not responsible."

"I should've noticed before. I'm so-"

"No... Please...." I looked over and saw tears in his eyes. "Don't even think about blaming yourself..... I promise this has nothing to do with you.... This was the result of me lacking self control. That's all. I'm an idiot, I know. Apologies."

"Tch. Dumbass.... You're not an idiot.... And stop being so damn formal...."

"Sorry..."

"Stop apologizing..."

"Shit sor-"

"No. If I don't get to blame myself then you don't get to either. This isn't your fault."

"If course it is. Everything is..... If I hadn't been so damn weak, he-"

"Human!!!! You're fucking human Todoroki..... There's only so much you can do. You can't be everything for everybody. You have to take care of yourself too... You can't just break yourself over and over again trying to be stronger. You'll only be weaker that way. You don't have to be the strongest. You don't have to be indestructible. You don't have to be emotionless. You're still human, Todoroki. You have to take care of your own needs first, regardless of what he thinks. You have to do what's best for you, otherwise you'll just end up hurting yourself again.... Can you promise me you'll do that?"

"I guess. But only because you want me t-"

"No. I won't accept that answer. Do it for yourself, not just because I asked you to damnit. Can you at least do that???"

"Fine whatever."

"That doesn't sound very convincing."

He shrugged.

"Fine I guess I'll take it. But hey, promise me next time this happens, you'll call me instead???"

"Fine."

I finished cleaning them and covered them with large gauze pads, wrapping them neatly after.

"Now, where are your bruises?"

"Wh-Why?"

"Because I need to clean the cuts on your torso, but I need to know where to avoid applying too much pressure."
