37 - Legacy

Todoroki's POV:

We stayed like that for a long time. Nothing "happened" or anything, but it was nice. Another reminder that maybe I'm not completely alone.

I have someone now

Afterwards, Bakugo noticed it was past his bedtime and fell asleep. However, I was still wide awake.

It's 4:00 in the morning

I know I should go to sleep

I know I have school tmrw

But these drugs are keeping me awake

Maybe I shouldn't have taken so many

Or.....

Maybe I should take more

Then I'd definitely fall asleep...

Or maybe I'll just take some painkillers to knock me out

I got out of bed quietly and went to the bathroom, opening the cabinet. I shuffled through the various pill bottles.

Hey we both take Prozac

That's fun I guess

His is probably something else though

Maybe to help anger or stress

I checked the date on the prescription

2014

Yeah he hasn't taken these in awhile

I found a bottle of hydrocodone and opened it.

"What are you doing?" He asked, sounding concerned.

"Oh, I have a headache so I'm just taking some painkillers."

"Oh... Well those are really strong so just take one. Maybe even half of one."

"Okay." He turned back around and laid down again, falling asleep quickly. I took four and put the bottle back.

Maybe I'll just take one of my other pills and they'll balance out

I took the bottle, which I had forgotten was still in my pocket, and took two.

I laid down again and began to feel dizzy.

Now I can sleep at least

I closed my eyes and let myself sleep.

Bakugo's POV:

I woke up to the beeping of my alarm, set on my phone. I turned it off angrily and sat up, glancing next to me. Todoroki was still sleeping, which was normal. Usually he's exhausted so I try to let him sleep as long as possible.

I got up and got ready for school like usual, then checked the time.

7:00

I better wake him up

Just so he has time to get ready.

I shook his shoulder and muttered for him to get up, but he didn't respond. I shook him harder, raising my voice a bit.

No response.

My mind recalled the night before.

the pills.....

what if he really was trying to overdose.....

"Shit, Todoroki.... What the fuck did you do....." I checked the clock on the wall.
