YOOO I AM BACK!!!

Nikki:

I took in a deep breath in an attempt to calm my nerves as I took careful steps past our entry hall, into the living room.

Even though the main door being left open was the only sign of an intruder to the naked eye, I had a feeling right down in my gut that someone was already in here.

Maybe it was a foolish decision but I tried turning the lights on only to realize that the fucker inside was smarter than that. Not only did he cut off the electricity, he even switched the inverters off.

"Fuck." I muttered to myself before making my way towards one of the bedrooms on the first floor since there was a pretty good chance that he was upstairs and probably getting his hands on the items in the master bedroom.

At that moment I was almost glad at how Nadia felt weird about me storing my guns in our bedroom and asked me to put them downstairs.

Walking into the room I contemplated locking the door. Locking it was safer, I thought, but Nads, she was still outside; I will kill her if she sets a foot inside the house.

Locking the door behind, I made my way towards the land phone and quickly dialed 911. Telling them the address and the situation, before I walked towards the safe which was hidden inside a wardrobe in the walk-in closet.

Unlocking the combo, I looked through the papers and other important items before I felt my hand touch the cold metal.

I could feel the long drops of sweat dripping down my temple as I racked the 12-gauge and made my way out of the bedroom and towards the living room which was adjoined with the dining area and the kitchen, behind which stood a grand floor to ceiling window which stretched all the way from the other end of the house.

My ears pricked and my eyes widened as I heard footsteps from directly over my head. Getting louder and louder. Closer and closer towards the stairs.

I took in another deep breath as the interval between my heart leaping against my chest again and again started to decrease.

With the palm of my left hand firmly gripping the fore-end of the gun and my right around the stock and index of the right hand resting against the trigger. I stood to my ground.

Pushing its weight against my shoulder, I waited, I waited for him to make his way downstairs.

I knew if he didn't bring any weapon on his own, he was mostly gonna be unarmed. I could hear the footsteps getting closer and closer as I stood there aiming at the stairs until I saw the silhouette of a leg, then another before more of him appeared.

The room was so silent and cold that I think I heard him gasp upon seeing me as he stood still on the stairs holding onto a metal safe. His face hidden behind a black mask.

I knew he was just as scared as I was as we stood there in the darkness staring at each other, with him at gunpoint, until-CREAK!!!!!!

My heart skipped a beat as we stood there facing each other, the both of us realizing that it was the front door opening. Damn you!!! I told you to wait outside.

I felt myself calm down a little when I realized that she wasn't moving past the entry hall, but it was short lived, my attention shifted towards the six and a half foot man that stood in front of me as he threw the safe he held in his hands in my direction, missing me by a mere distance of centimeters, the safe crashed against the dining table beside me and glass splattered everywhere with a loud crashing noise

He caught me again by the element of surprise as he charged at me with one of the guitars that was hung on the stairway, knocking the gun out of my hand first.
