"Axl!! Waxl!!! ANGRY ROSE!!!" I shouted out different variations of his name before I finally heard him answering from the kitchen. My mom just got called and I had to now deliver some happy news to him.

"What happened?" He asked as his eyes concentrated on some vegetables he was chopping.

"The fuck are you doing!" I asked in confusion. I have never seen him enter the kitchen my whole life. Even back then when dad would go for some show the both of us used to run to the diner all the fucking time.

"Well, what does it look like?"

I shook my head in disbelief as I watched, "I really wish I could capture this moment in a photo right now. This is a rare sighting. I have been living here for a month now and I have never come across something like this."

"The milk had expired so Victor went to get it. So I thought why not? Anyway, why were you calling me? Did you kill someone!" He asked sarcastically.

"If I did kill someone I wouldn't be calling you. I will probably change my name and identity and catch the first flight to Armenia." I huffed with a roll of my eyes.

"Who is there in Armenia?"

"Well, I will start working in a vine farm....."

"Vineyard." He asserted

"Yes." I slowly rolled my eyes at him, "I will start working at a vineyard and marry some local Armenian dude. Have five kids and maybe contact you or Tommy when I am like 70."

"Five kids?" He quirked an eyebrow, "And what about Nikki?"

"What's wrong with five kids?" I asked to which he shrugged, "Also if I kill someone I am definitely not dragging Nikki along. I guess I will show my kids his pictures and be like: That would have been your father." I said as he laughed.

"Is that why you came now?" He asked as he took a peeled carrot and started to finely chop it into small pieces. Not bad.

"No, I came to give you some good news!" I knew he would be happy. "My mom called. She reached last night, so I can shift to her place after the stupid get-together." He looked shocked, I guess so shocked, that he almost dropped the knife back on the counter.

"What?" I chuckled to ease out the awkwardness

"For real? You are not joking are you?!?" He asked as his hand reached out to hold me except it stopped mid-air.

"Why would I joke? Today is my grandmother's 70th Birthday. So they are having a gathering at her house. So I will go for that, meet up with mom and then go to her house." I said folding my arms across my chest. I watched as he calmed down. I mean he wasn't like my best friend or anything. But I have been a parasite on him for the past few weeks, there is a limit to being a guest at someone's home.

"You have a grandmother?" He frowned, making me almost chuckle. I mean how would I be here if I didn't have a grandmother?

I nodded as a form of realization appeared on his face before he turned to me again, "Irene?"

I shook my head. That's the good grandmother, dad's mom, the one from whom I got my middle name and she passed away ages back leaving me the current not so good of a grandmother.

"No, my mom's mom. Lilya Antonov." I said though she preferred to be called Lily, her parents came here during the Russian civil war. He nodded before an idea came into my mind, "You wanna come with me?"
