Jane:

"You might consider a big professional pivot, or get an opportunity to take on a leadership role. Field the offers, but don't leap at the first one unless it totally lights you up." Kate read from the magazine and glanced up at my reflection in the mirror. We were getting our hair done.

I nodded my head, much to the disdain of my hairstylist. Everything they wrote is so true.

"Girl, I literally applied for a promotion!" I said, to which she gasped in surprise before looking at the pair of rolling eyes of the two stubborn people, calling it bullshit. It doesn't matter anyway; it's three against two. Evie got rid of the braids for a change and got a silk press while Nadia cut her hair short once again as part of the post-breakup rituals. It was now down to her waist, the same length as Evie's.

"By the 16th of November, the libra new moon begins, and with it your personal New Year, you'll achieve much more clarity going into December. There will be success in your personal and professional life. Relationships will become stronger and tribulations will see an end."

"Oh Christ!" I sighed, "That's it? Read the next one."

She nodded before she began to read Phoebe's. According to it, great times and good luck awaited the Aquarians. New relationships would be formed, and old ones would be repaired. Troubles might arise in romantic relationships, but if enough effort is put in, everything will turn out great. There would be financial gains. There are also chances of getting minor injuries.

"Ahh, makes sense! My vagina is gonna rip apart soon." She nodded to herself with a sarcastic smile before it became too hard to smile, and sadness overtook her, and she came to the brink of tears. Luckily, she finished getting her hair done along with Nadia and Evie.

"I've told you a hundred fucking times not to read this shit!" Evie rolled her eyes as Phoebe started to turn into a crying mess. Her hormones were at their zenith. The other customers seemed baffled as they looked at Phoebe, but the people working there who knew her knew this was a usual sight for them.

"Don't call it shit!" She cried harder, "That's so bad! They put so much effort into collecting all that, how can you just call it shit, dude?"

I held back a laugh as Evie stared at her with wide eyes, trying to figure out what had just happened. She sighed, mumbling to herself the word 'unbelievable', and returned to discussing with Nadia about the paperwork for her penthouse. She decided to buy it before she left.

"I'm just gonna go pee," Phoebe said, turning to me. I nodded, and my hairstylist begged me to keep my head still. Kate was now begging for permission to read Evie her horoscope.

"I've told you I don't believe in this thing. They're frauds, alright?! And even if it's true, I like to keep my peace of mind if not, I'll start worrying." She said

"You're a sag, right?" I asked, and she nodded before we both frowned upon hearing Nadia chuckle.

"I still can't believe you're a Sagittarian." She blinked, "I mean, Nikki's one, but you're just something else."

"What's that supposed to mean?" She raised an eyebrow

"Good, obviously! Oh come on, you know how I feel about you," Nadia said with a grin.

"Can I read it, please?!" Kate begged, looking at Evie with puppy eyes.

"Nope!" She answered, "I'm gonna check on Phoebs."

Kate looked at me with disappointment. She already did me, she realized, huffing, she turned to Nadia. The chance of reading her the horoscope was extremely slim, but I guess she wanted to give it a shot.
