-8 months had passed since the disappearance of Cloud, Cid, and Yuffie after looking into issues at an old reactor with Tifa and Barrett. It had only been a few months since eliminating the threat of Sephiroth's remnants, and curing the thousands of people of Gaia whom suffered from Geostigma, Rufus Shinra President of Shinra Power included. Rufus had been pretty cooperative with Avalanche over the matter, after all, they all had been through so much together. They were not friends of course, Barrett would never allow talk like that when considering Shinras relationship with Avalanche, but allied acquaintances seemed to be an acceptable description. Reeve had been put in the project, as well as the Turks to attempt to track down what may have happened to the shipwright, the Delivery Merc, and the Wutai thief, but so far, it appeared to be a lost cause, but all of them were still looking. Tifa, at the assurance of Reeve, had gone back home to the new bar to keep income coming in the house in order to take care of Denzel and Marlene. Barrett, Red XIII and Cait were all working to assist Reeve in not only locating there missing friends, but also to advocate for clean power research for the planet. The man himself had been walking down the hall from his office, hands in his pockets as he went with Cait at his side.-
...They can't actually be gone, the way everyone described there disappearance, something is wrong.
-Started the man as he looked down at the Cat bot. Cait snorted at that, before commenting.-
Ai, ye seriously be thinkin they'd go down dat easy? We looked at the tapes from the old cameras, them things, we be needin' to find out more about em.
-Those things, that Cait was referring to had been these strange shadowy beasts that had begun springing up all over the place about a year or so ago. Not long before Sephiroth's reappearance. One had to wonder if Hojo's experimentation was responsible, or if something even more foul was in the mix, Reeve spoke up in response.-
Yes, I have been trying to collect as much data possible on them, I do agree with your earlier observation about what we saw on the cameras we retrieved, it did look like a literal black hole just opened in the floor and dragged them down into it. It might even explain the many disappearances we have been getting reports about world wide. I am concerned if Edge may also start experiencing such oddities, if they aren't happening already.
-Cait tilted his head some, ears perked as he listened to his creators words on the subject matter revolving the safety of there people. He frowned deeply before voicing up again.-
Ya know Reeve, we been hearin' them reports from Reno and Rude about strangers in hoods wanderin' in Edge, and in Radiant Garden. Do ye think they might be involved? Been hearin' a wee rumor about an impressive skill of theres...
-Reeve raised a brow as they pair continued along and rounded the corner towards the mess hall, Reeve had been working non-stop, and he really was in need of eating something before he passed out at his desk... again.-
And what exactly would that skill be? What have you been told?
-The small bot scratched at the back of his head with a mild sigh, he did not want to get Reeves hopes up, he knew better than to do that to a man like him, his heart tended to be too big for his own good and he just might have done something reckless.-
Well... I be hearin' from eh few witnesses, that they can disappear through strange portal like manifestations. I be hopin' to see it ma-self so I can record it.
-He lightly tapped on the side of his face, opening one of his usually closed eyes to show off the camera lenses Reeve had crafted for him years ago. An essential tool for any good intel agent, let alone for a recon scout like himself. Reeve paused, coming to a complete stop at the Cats words.-
