Do you really have to go?
Yes. I do. No one may be intending to rat me out, but, Xaldin is going to notice if I keep skipping dinner, and even if Vexen thinks he can keep covering for me and no one will get suspicious, I am not getting him in trouble for this. I'm sorry Rufus.
But you will return, won't you?
Yes, as I said, I promise I will return to see you. I left my PDA ID number on your desk in the bedroom, and the times at which are acceptable to call. Midnight is best, I am in my room by then and no one will be listening.
I'll keep that in mind, we can discuss the contents of my package once you have looked at it.
-Zexion paused, remembering something.-
I um... Rufus?
Yes?
-The boyish man hesitated, before reaching into his bag, he smiled weakly, as out from the bag, he brought two materia. One blue like the ocean, and one green like the life stream. Rufus's eyes widened, he immediately grabbed the green ball from Zexion, and hugged it lightly to himself.-
Is this... what you were after that night?
It was... Contrary to what it looks like Rufus... I really did miss you, thank you, for taking me out to have a good time, and letting us have time to just...
-Rufus cut the other off as he put the ball in his pocket and pulled the other into a tight hug.-
Its ok. Heh... you never really were good at saying how you feel, were you? That's alright, I'll just have to keep bullying it out of you, like I always have.
-Zexion smiled weakly to himself pressing and snuggling his face lightly into Rufus's shoulder a moment, before pulling away.-
Good night Rufus.
-A portal opened behind the schemer, and he turned, pulling his hood over his head and clutching tight to the little blue crystal orb, as he descended off into the curtain of darkness. Rufus felt something tighten in his chest as he watched the other go, but said not a word of protest. Hopefully... he really would return as promised. The portal shut behind Zexion, and Rufus slowly let out a breath he had not realized he had been holding, as his fingers smoothed over the crystal of healing in his pants pocket. Caressing the memories of his life with his now departed soul mate.-

So, you 3 never did tell me the other reason you came after us.
We told you, to stop Sephiroth.
-Zack and the three remnants were in they're hotel room at the Honey Bee, sipping from cups of tea and cocoa as the quartet conversed over what to do with the current state of affairs, Zack's brow furrowed, putting down his cup before muttering.-
Come on now, you can't fool me Kadaj, there's got to be more to it than that.
Brother Zack, are you believing ill of our intentions?
Should I?
-Its not that the trio had done anything wrong presently, but Zack had learned his lesson about covering his ass, considering everything he had been through. Loz seemed to shift his feet slightly in his chair, sipping at his cocoa before speaking up softly.-
We want to see our real mother.
-Zack blinked, tilting his head some.-
Real mother?
-Yazoo was the next to speak up, smiling faintly.-
Yes, she's out there somewhere, we do not know where exactly, but she is out there. Now that we are no longer chained to Jenova by the flesh, we can pursue our own path out in the world... there is so much we have never seen! Have you ever had a feeling like that before big brother? The desire to just experience everything in the world?
