Hey look! Its just up ahead!
Yeup, sure is Sora. Looks like yer friend was right about this place being here huh?
Seems like it. What a relief. As much as I like the woods and all, we've kind of been in them just a bit too long.
I'll say, I can't wait to get myself in a bed. I hate the woods!
-Practically shouted Donald. And indeed, after this whole ordeal, he would develop nothing but utter distain for the woods and the scent of grass. Goofy chuckled softly as he shook his head, continuing along down the dirt path they were on with the glint of a small town hovering in the distance.-
Aww, I dunno Donald, I like to think it was a nice break from all this adventurin'. Reminds me of the good ol' days, me and Maxie out on the boat fishin' and enjoyin' the quiet life.
Maxie?
Oh! That's ma son! Oh Sora, when we go back to see Queen Minnie and the King, ya gotta come meet Maxie!
-The doting father was all in a tizzy about his recent charge coming and meeting his only son. Sora on the other hand stopped in his tracks, looking stunned.-
You... you have a...
He does. Come to think of it Sowa, he's your age.
Yep! You'd like em Sora, him and his friend PJ. Maxie and PJ just signed up for the guard this year before we left... sure hope they're doin' alright.
-The smile that had lit up the dog mans face quickly vanished and was replaced with a worried frown, all the energy seeming to have been sapped from the conversation. The gut punch seemed to snap Sora from his shock, and lead to a gloved hand moving to grasp the others shoulder firmly.-
Hey now, I'm sure he's doing great Goofy. I bet he's just waiting for you to come home. Besides! You said he has his friend with him right? If they are anything like us, I'm sure they are doing a good job keeping the castle safe while you are gone.
-Donald seemed to develop a smirk at that shaking his head some. He was deeply tempted to complain about how they had gotten lost in the woods for god knows how long, but decided not to upset the Disney knight any further.-
He's right Goofy. Just like how I'm sure Huey Duey and Louie are doin' good with Uncle Scrooge after he came to pick them up in Traverse town.
Uncle Scrooge?
Oh that's right! I forgot about that Donald. How's Uncle Scrooge doin'?
He's doing ok. I promised when this was all over I'd come home and see everyone for a while. He said he had a job waiting for me back home if I decided to retire from the guard. What about you Sowa? Who do you miss back home?
Me? Oh well, come on, that ones obvious.
-Grinned the teenager as he put his arms up behind his head now and hummed as he walked. Goofy tilted his head some as they strode along, curious of something.-
Well, there's Riku... and Kairi... is that really all Sora?
Huh? Oh... Well...
-Yeah, guess it wasn't so obvious after all.-
I mean um...Mom of course. But that just sounds... I dunno. Silly.
Silly how Sora?
Who really tells people they miss there parents? When I was in school saying stuff like that got you called a baby...
-Donald shook his head and crossed his arms.-
Sowa...Its ok to miss your mom, you know.
Yeah, besides, what's it matter what anyone would think anyways? She's important to ya ain't she? Also, its just us here, we ain't gonna make fun of ya over sumthin' like that. Family's just as important as yer friends.
