Chapter 72: The Rules of Engagement

What was the contents?

Uh... Concert tickets sir.

What?

You heard me yo, concert tickets. I haven't read the note yet, thought you might want to read them yourself.

-Concert tickets of all things. Reno and Tseng had retrieved a package left at the front desk downstairs several hours ago, and were now sitting with Rufus looking over its contents in the blond mans office. Seated on top of the bundle of tickets was a note addressed to Rufus which he decided to read out loud for everyone to hear. It read as follows:

/Shinra-sama,

Please accept these tickets as a gift to solidify our good working relationship. I will be attending as a performer in a concert tomorrow evening in a far away city called New York. Due to some connections we have in common, a little phoenix told me that you might like to join us, considering your life partner will be attending the festivities. Transportation will be provided at 12 pm Northern Gaia time, bring as many people as you believe you wish to entertain. My friend Raijin will be handing out several tickets to her boyfriends associates, I believe you refer to them as "Avalanche", they too have been invited and will meet at the front of the new Shinra tower to be escorted. Gil, Munny, and other currencies can be exchanged for the currency used in the city via any of my associates if you are looking to shop. We do ask however that you and your people follow a few rules:

1. Do not tell anyone where you are from. As I am sure you have been told by now by your partner, other worlds do exist, and we will be going to one. Keep your personal information as well guarded as possible both for your safety as well as others.

2. Do not commit any crimes. This should be a no brainer, but please don't do anything that will make us look bad. If you wouldn't do it at home please don't do it abroad. Also do not get involved in any crimes being committed, even if you are just trying to protect others.

3. This world is "non-magic based", the people of this world are not aware of magics existence and will panic if exposed to foreign power. Simply put, don't use magic.

4. Do not smuggle back any contraband. Its one thing to buy souvenir, its another to take back any possible technology, plants, animals, people, or other things that may wreak havoc on your world. Any and all special items such as cellphones, PDAs and other technology of your own must be mostly kept hidden and well track of. In the event something is stolen or lost we will retrieve it for you. If you are truly interested in anything you might see while out, tell me, I will ask about it for you. You also cannot smuggle in anything that may cause a panic (I.E. Dark Nation cannot come with you, sorry).

5. If you have any allergies, please inform us in advanced to make sure you are not given anything that could make you ill. If an emergency occurs we will have staff on hand to tend to you.

6. Stay to the main roads at all times and always have someone with you. We will have designated times where everyone must be present and a head count will be performed. If you become lost or might be late to a return spot make sure to check in with someone via phone or other communication device to inform them you are safe.

Lastly, please have fun. This event is intended to bring a lot of us together to celebrate many things, I would like to view it as a testament to our new business relationship, and possibly a future friendship.

Ah, Victor. The more Rufus learned about his new business partner in Radiant Garden, the more he decided he enjoyed such hospitality. The owner of Fire Princess and present diplomat funding part of Radiant Gardens restoration had given them tickets to a concert where Ienzo would be? Amazing. The Shinra president grinned from ear to ear as he handed the note to Tseng, whom scanned it over intensely for a few moments before shaking his head with his own grin.-
