You really scared them you know. You should apologize.
They will be fine Shade, I am sure they-
That was not a request, Shaddow.
-Shaddow and Shade were up on a unfamiliar roof far away from The Castle That Never Was. The pair had a fast food snack in there laps as well as large fast food cups of soda with lids and straws. This was of course a few hours after Shades conversation with Lexaeus, and his interaction with Vexen. The pair were dressed in those familiar long silver robes with that familiar symbol of a heart emblazoned on there shoulders and backs. Shaddow was silent for a long moment at there siblings words, before taking a sip from there cup and responding.-
You seriously think it would help?
Even if it doesn't, at least they will understand you aren't a proud idiot.
Heh, proud idiot, hardly. I've already made it clear what we are here for.
True, but do you seriously believe any of them could understand such a thing shaddow? I know your smarter and more understanding than that. Don't let this mission darken you. I... I wouldn't be able to handle it.
Ohhhh so this is for juuuu~ Finnneeeee.
-Shaddow moved to put there strong but rather thin lanky arm around the smaller and meeker doctor, ruffling his hair lightly causing him to huff.-
Its not just for me, Its for you too. It isn't worth trying to save the worlds if you lose yourself.
Hehehehe, I disagree. The worlds aren't worth saving if you aren't willing to give it all up for them. Besides, life's a temporary state ain't it? Nothing is every quite truly gone even if you die, or have to do some things not quite like you.
Are you going to have to do things like that? Shaddow... things have changed, sometimes I... I miss when we were young, the days where it was just us in a normal house doing normal things. The last few years have been so much spontaneous movement and throwing ourselves into danger. Sometimes, I just wish we could go home and be happy again. What little happiness we had.
-Shaddow was silent again, slowly they put there cup down beside them and moved to pull the other into a tight two arms secure hug.-
I know... I'm sorry Shade. Perhaps I... should of left you all out of this. Maybe it would of been better to leave you all to have a normal life, and I went off to do all this myself.
...Now if you had done that, I would have just grown to hate you. I would have come to believe you had abandoned us, and I refuse to want to believe that of you.
Perhaps, but, would 100 years of peace for yourselves have been so bad? You and Kira, hell even Raijin... Kyeshu... all of you could have had mostly normal simple lives, no worries at all.
It wouldn't have been the same without you. I may miss home, and that simple life, but none of it is worth more than having you here. So, don't change stupid, you owe me that much. I wouldn't want this any other way, even if there's things I miss. Maybe someday, we can have that back, even if its not completely.
-Shaddow grinned under there hood, shaking there head some.-
Is that your wish?
More that I wish, we can just be happy. Something I don't think we ever really had, even back then, did we?
No I guess we didn't. And it only got worse when... he came.
...I won't let him hurt you again, him or anyone else.
Neither will I, that's why we do this Shade. So try not to worry, and never allow any regrets to settle in.
I'll try not to. As long as you promise that no matter what happens, we are in this together.
