Oh good you both are back! I was just about to start serving dinner.
-Came the call of Victor from his gigantic kitchen, having heard the whoosh of Shaddow's portal opening several feet across in the living room. Both they and Vexen of course had just arrived back, and they had missed quite a bit. Upon coming into the castle through the portal, they would find a most perplexing set of events unfolding in front of them, and it was going to take them a moment to fully process. For you see, Luxord was seated on the living room floor leaned against the stone wall of the fire place and he appeared to be quietly reading story to over a dozen little squeaking medium dog sized baby dragons. It seemed this place really was an orphanage! Seated promptly at each of his sides were Juju and Kitsumo still in dragon form, wiggling there tails as Luxord spun his.-
The cold wind howled as the adventurers proceeded into the cavern, a place no man had ever been brave enough to venture before. How unfortunate for them to have missed the glint of an eye that- OH~! Both of you have returned! Good evening Shaddow, Vexen.
-Hummed the man with a warm smile as the tiny reptiles turned there heads, letting out soft squeaks and "kyuuu" like coos in acknowledgement of the pairs return. Shaddow stood there silent only for a second longer, before busting out laughing and almost ending up on the floor like the asshole hyena they were. Vexen processed, sighed, and then lightly nodded his head. It wasn't worth it.-
Hello 10. It appears you have quite the crowd... Are all of those really dragon children? 16 I don't know whether this world you are so acquainted with is fascinating, horrifying, or both.
-The blond man paused at the sound of the giant reptiles greeting from the kitchen. A small "humph" came in response to Vexen's comment as well.-
You make us sound like terrifying beasts! How cruel of you.
I... apologies, that is not quite what I meant. Your hospitality has been more than appreciated. More my point was that if dragons are the benevolent ones here, I would dread seeing what else would be considered malevolent...
-Yes indeed, considering he'd also seen a "dragon" when it was angry here. Shaddow continued to just be an idiot, ignoring Vexen's snark as they were now being bombarded by tiny squirming scaly doggos whom clearly expected to be played with. And play Shaddow did, rolling across the floor before plopping into a giant cuddle pile. The many winged ones and single finned one looked up at Vexen expectantly, causing the man confusion.-
Yes? Why are you all staring at me?
Shu-shu is your friend going to cuddle too?
Nope. He a snowman, snowman's no cuddle, dey stand around and look pretty till they die to a terrible fate of melting.
Shut up 16.
-Grumbled the ice mage, as he paused looking around, quickly confused. Something was missing.-
10?
Yes 4?
Where is 7?
Oh! He's taking a nap. Our host was kind enough to offer him a bed. He seemed terribly comfortable here surprisingly. I've not seen him since he went to rest however.
-About that. Upstairs Saix had proceeded to snoop around. He wanted to see if he could find any information he might be able to hold over Shaddow and Shade should things go south. Part of him felt a tad guilty for taking advantage of someone as kind as Victor, but, he needed to take all the chances he could to keep control of this situation. Granted, he had actually rested in the bed that had been offered to him, and it had been quite the luxurious slumber. If this all went well, he would genuinely be interested in returning here with Axel to see the sights and maybe develop a relationship or two with these people. As anti-social as Saix could be, he couldn't deny his fascination with the populace of this world. For fucks sake they were dragons, Honest to god dragons! Another curiosity also seemed to come to him about an observation. So far, he had only seen one dragon with ruffled fins instead of wings, Juju was his name right? How strange that all the other little squeakers had been of ebony tone and red eyed and posessing branched high hanging wings. He didn't have much time to think about that however, as he prowled the hallway upstairs slowly, trying to find unlocked doors he could explore on the floor. After a few empty rooms that looked to belong to live-in house keepers, he finally came across one that appeared somewhat interesting. The light was off as he entered, and in order to see any features of the dwelling he was required to turn on the near by lamp, for he could find no switch on the wall. Tired hazels blinked as everything came into focus... the room had the strangest color scheme he had seen in a while. Blacks, whites, sunny yellows and soft blues, all used to make borders of fabric pop and curtains have almost a pastel-gothic style. Most fabric in the room was outlined in embroidered black thread, with some pieces showing a mosaic structure using all 4 colors, the bed in the room being full sized instead of king sized like he had seen in the other bedrooms. Odd. A search over of the dresser with its high top vanity like mirror caused a realization to hit him like a brick, he was in a child's room. And, from the look of the lump behind him in the mirror under the sheets, obscured by a white and black bed veil forted over the top, said child was here fast asleep. The berserkers sharp pointed ears quickly picked up the faint sound of breath... however, something now on the dresser and visible in the mirror quickly made it clear, he had been caught. The thing in question that he saw almost made him shit a brick on the inside.-
