Chapter 87: Night at the Big Apple Pt.7- The Second Remaining Cetra

This ice cream is so good Axel! Why didn't you ever tell us before about Coffee flavor?

Roxas, do you remember the last time I offered you a cup of the brown stuff? You nearly chucked the cup halfway across our kitchen and got me yelled at by Xaldin because you apparently found the taste so revolting.

Oh... oh yeah. Well this tastes a lot different than that.

In Roxas's defense Axel, you didn't tell him it had no sugar or milk in it. Vexen said those generally go into coffee, right?

-Xion had a point. Axel hadn't exactly explained to Roxas how you can and might drink coffee, leading to a rather sharp aversion to it all this time. The trio were walking along beside Namine, Rude, and Reno all with a cone or bar of there own, licking away in delight at the frozen treat. Namine had never had ice cream before, but the sight and taste of it made her think she remembered something just like it, which was interesting since she couldn't remember really much of anything about her previous life. Vexen had told her he knew where she had come from, and intended to tell her a day he had time to, but so far he had been severely busy and the pair hadn't seen each other much. She almost thought she could remember a frozen treat from her past, only, it was fruity, almost peachy and pineapple like... Ah well, that seemed to be a trend with nobodies, feelings were "non-existent" and memories came and went so quickly you had to wonder if they even had been there at all. The bar of sweetness in her hand was an orange creamsicle, she deeply enjoyed the contrast of rich orangy flavor combined with the milder sweetness of vanilla, and she believed it would become a favorite.-

So... you three all go out for ice cream a lot?

Mmhm! I, Axel and Roxas go after our missions. Axels favorite is Sea salt ice cream, but it looks like they don't sell it here...

-Responded Xion as she took a bite of her chocolate coated cherry vanilla bar. She had never tasted something with so many different flavors like that, and it made he crave a second one. She also had not been entirely correct on her assumption, this city did have Sea salt ice cream, however, the shop the group had gone to did not carry it or know what it was. If they had wanted a treat like that, they would have needed to visit one of the more specialty stores, or even possibly a gaming- -

What's that Axel?

-Asked Roxas as he pointed over at a little shop labeled "Game Stop". Axel was confused, that looked to be a video game shop, something he hadn't seen since he was Roxas's age.-

Huh... Its a gaming shop.

-Reno took a bite of his caramel turtle cone before grinning at some rather fond memories.-

Been a while since either of us have ever gamed huh Lea?

-Queried Xion, Axel ignoring her confusion.-

A bit. We aren't coming back here however so it would be pointless to go in there. After all, can't very well buy new games if we never return right?

-Roxas's brow furrowed at Axels comment.-

But Axel... how do you know we aren't ever coming back here?

-That was also a good point. It begged the question whether the red head more meant he'd not want to. Was he not having fun? Reno snorted before moving over and roughly elbowing his more grumbly twin, causing the tattooed nobody to yelp.-

Ow!

Come on bro, there just kids. Its not going to hurt to let them at least look yo.

... Fine.

-Something seemed to be up Axels fiery ass today, and it wasn't immediately apparent to anyone else what it was. Rude looked over at the worried children and his partner, ushering for them all to head along inside. Axel had begun to follow, but Rude instantly grabbed him by his bony framed shoulder, yanking him back and startling the firebrand.-
