-Vexen quickly pursued his guide though the shimmer hole in space, letting out a confused sound as they both went along... it felt like a comforting embrace from someone you held dear. This physical feeling lead him through on the path, a notion of excitement threatening to wash over him as he went. They finally reached the other side with the hole shutting tight behind them, and the place they landed in, was quite the sight to behold... The only sound audible in the immediate area, was the sound of the wind, and the rustling of leaves. Vexen looked around, trying to take it all in, it was beautiful.-

This place, this is the world? It looks completely unmarred.

Yes, I like to think I clean up well. I like this world quite a bit, all the secrets of the past it holds, both happy, and sad.

Sad?

-Vexen continued to look as he walked at a slow winding pace with the other, sharp forest greens scanning inch by inch of every detail of this landscape. An immaculate and fertile forest in the season of fall. Leaves of gold, yellow, orange and red falling amongst the dirt and debris of the living grass carpet. He idly reached out to trail pale fingers across the bark of a near by oak tree in wonder, Shaddow finally retorting back.-

Yes, this world is actually more than what it appears, more a living memory of what was. One of them anyways.

Your adoration for flowery cryptic language would be something I appreciate, if it wasn't constantly used to hinder the desires of my mind. Are you actually going to elaborate on anything?

Hee-hee, maybe I just like making you ask nicely first.

-Cooed the other as they seemed to do a little spin and hop, humming along down the path lined with fungus foliage. Once they got so far however, suddenly the landscape rapidly changed. Deep within the little grove was revealed to be a calm lake, which wouldn't be so unusual, except that within several yards of the center of the forest, the temperature and landscape changed... snow covered at several feet almost up to the pairs ankles, and the surface of the water was coated with a pane of ice thicker than a plexiglass sliding door. Even more intriguing, were the inhabitants of the forest, seemingly skating across the naturally formed ice rink on dainty little feet- Fairies. Seemed Shaddow had been telling the truth, and quite talented the little winged ones were, as one bolted up mid jump and performed a triple axle, patches of cold seeming to fling from the bluish, crystal like creatures body and spreading across the trunks of trees and other plants like a hungry invader. Apparently this creatures form could promote the spread and creation of frost, they must have been a season fairy. Vexen had thought he had read about such a creature once upon a time, but never given much stock into something so silly.-

Is that creature the cause of the cold?

Indeed, they are. Pretty isn't it? This world is not dictated by time in the same way other worlds are, nothing truly ages, ever youthful and embracing of nature. The power it holds is so great, those that exist here will live for all eternity, repeating this cycle of seasons and displaying the true wonder of life. To let such a treasure be taken away... I couldn't bear the thought.

...Wouldn't a world like this being taken by the heartless be reversible? Like with other worlds they attempted to claim last year?

Even if so, why allow it to happen to begin with? If you care about something enough, and you can protect it, then you should. Otherwise it probably wasn't very important at all was it?

I guess not.

-Mumbled the academic, as he trudged through several more feet of snow to reach the lake. The fae creatures immediately froze at his presence, almost comically really, clearly not used to a creature like him being in there forest. Shaddow grinned, and gently waved there hand in casual brushing off of the situation.-
