Are you comfortable my dear?

Yes, thank you. Is all this really for me?

Of course. I apologize we only come once every couple of hours, I am sure this all has been rough on you and lonely.

-Vexen was seated in a chair in a most interesting of rooms. The walls were of the palest opaque cut Quartz as were the doors, floors, and all the molding even, it was a marvel of a place to behold. In the center of the room fitted in a silvery white quartz setting was a gigantic clear quartz crystal, almost like one for gazing into the future. Seated beside him was a small and very timid looking blonde girl, Namine. She was seated at a cute little table with her dinner, clearly made by Shade and Xaldin.-

It is, it won't be like this forever, will it?

No, it will not. A matter of fact, our Superior was most interested in all these lovely things you have been telling me; what is it like to be able to look into ones heart and see there memories?

I... Is that something really so strange? Something that really only I have?

It is! We have never seen such a wonderous marvel! Some of our own suffer with memory recollection, perhaps if I were to have an inkling as to how it worked my dear, I could use it to truly help others here.

-The smaller blonde seemed to ponder the older mans thoughts, a mild frown curling into her features.-

I don't understand quite yet how it works myself, I am sorry. I... I will try harder to think of how to explain it.

No-no! Its quite alright, we have all the time in the world. Again, I truly am sorry that you are here all alone, its just for your own safety. The castle is a very dangerous place at times, the waves of heartless have intensified; Some have even broken inside as of late. Our Superior has informed me you carry your own memories of the heartless, and they deeply frighten you.

-Namine shivered at her own memory of them, the heartless. She didn't know much even about them, but she agreed that they did frighten her.-

What keeps them away from here?

Ah! I thought you would never ask, clever girl.

-The man gestured with a smile towards the large crystal in the middle of the room.-

That over there is what they call a light cornerstone. A large crystal infused with such an intense light that it has the power to ward off most if not all darkness. Some even believe them to be considered a materia, though we have never thought to have someone try to use it to fend off any attack and test it. This building is composed of opaque reflecting quartz, so one would assume its what illuminates this whole castle, the light from within bouncing off the walls and causing a trickle of its power into the rest of the rooms. It can only make it so far down of course, so some of the basement floors are a bit dark, however, it still even in that darkness appears to keep the heartless at bay. Having your sleeping quarters next door guarentees nothing can harm you here.

I..I am glad, thank you.

-Mumbled the little one. It appeared that several of the nobodies were intent on taking good care of her, even if they seemed strange.-

Where is the man that usually comes with you?

Hm? Lexaeus? Ah he was a bit busy today, it was my sons birthday today, so, I spent the morning with him into the early evening, and now he is spending time with Lexaeus. They were close before all of this happened.

All of this, you mean... becoming nobodies. Thats what the other man called it... Xemnas, right?

Very good, you remembered. And yes, you too are a nobody, though, you seem different than us.
