Thought I'd come check on you, sorry it took so long.

Were you seen?

No I don't think so. They sent the kid off with the new one and gave me the day off. How's your arm?

I'll manage.

-Axel seated himself down on Saix's bed, smirking when he saw Cotton huddled up at Saix's side taking a nap.-

Stopped bothering hiding the bunny?

Was rather pointless after Xemnas saw it.

Wait... he's letting you keep it?

Apparently. That's something I need to talk to you about.

What the rabbit?

No, Xemnas. Don't be stupid.

-Axel smirked more but slowly that expression seemed to wane, he sighed and cracked his neck leaning back a bit on the headboard of Saix's bed.-

Listening.

So, I heard the most interesting of little tidbits recently. Xemnas, remembers near nothing about his past.

...You wanna run that by me again? What? Then why the fuck is he leading us?!

That's what I was wondering, I was rather peeved about the very idea of us being lead by a fool. However, then something else was mentioned... 4, and possibly other members regularly speak to Xemnas about his past, and apparently, he gets much of what he knows of it from them.

...Oh, oh great... so what your saying is--

Yes, he's a puppet. And that's most likely why they have been keeping him from talking to us too often alone. They don't want anyone to know they are filling his diluted little brain with nonsense. I don't know what aggitates me more, the deceit, or how long it took to figure it out.

-Axel paused, seeming to remember his conversation with Roxas.-

So! I guess then that we don't have to kill him! I was actually thinking about that and honestly I--

No, we don't have to kill him, now we just need to kill 4.

-Axel flinched, large emeralds swiveling to the window, he mumbled.-

Saix maybe this isn't a good idea, I was talking to Roxas and--

Excuse me? The child? What did you tell him?

Nothing, I just had said I had something to mull over, something I had wanted to talk to you about, and he said that we were friends, and that you would at least hear me out.

I have heard you, and I am telling you, no, we no longer have to get rid of Xemnas, this is actually our perfect opportunity.

What do you mean?

Think about it, if he's so easily swayed, perhaps, with my position, I can use him to get us more information. He apparently appreciates me, and I may be able to get him to trust me.

-Axel grunted, this still made him a bit uncomfortable.-

I... right, but Saix--

No. We need to do this. There is a mission coming up soon, Xemnas and I drafted it a few weeks ago. Several members from this castle are going to have to confront the key bearer. Xemnas wants us to reason with him, perhaps to earn his trust and have another hand should anything happen with Roxas. I hear 4 has also completed something else for a similar purpose. 6 has been delaying the progress of the key bearer by having left him wandering in circles in the woods for weeks with illusions projected from cameras near a secondary castle we have access to. They are going to lure the boy there.
