(Author's POV)Itachi was currently at his front door and putting on his shoes. He woke up that morning deciding to do something about the people after him. He was tired of running away and making others solve his problems. Itachi fastens his messenger bag on his shoulder.
Feeling nervous, he walked out and headed towards the crowded streets of Konoha. He observed and looked around hoping to see the one person he was looking for. His father was the only person who may be able to pinpoint possible suspects, but Itachi knew that he would most likely not want to see him.
The Uchiha Police headquarters was nearby and so he headed in that direction while feeling a bit nervous.
(Itachi's POV)
It had been a long time since I walked in the direction of the place where most of my suffering happened. I haven't seen my father in a long time and nor have I seen the Uchiha clan members. I knew that they resented me and hated what I've become. I sighed and brought my hand up to touch the jewel on my neck. It glimmered in the sunlight and helped me calm my nerves a little. I was going to make sure Kisame would come back, but right now I needed to deal with my issues.

The Uchiha district was up ahead. The entrance still looked the same after all this time, but the area seemed to have gotten bigger. More homes occupied the area and the concrete walls that surrounded the area were gone. To me, it seemed that the fourth Hokage kept his word before passing away.
I took a deep breath before heading into the area, that's when the stares and whispers started.
Villiger: Hey isn't that-
Villiger2: Yeah it is. What's he doing here?
Villiger3: I heard he killed one of his own, they were friends apparently. I don't know why though.
Villiger4: I heard it was because he wanted his friends Sharingan.
Villager5: What a disgraceful person. He shouldn't be allowed back.
Villager6: I wouldn't say that if I were you, he's one of Fugaku's sons. Who knows what he would do to us.
I avoided the stares and tried my best not to react to the words spewing out their mouths. I couldn't let them get to me like they did when I was younger. They always found a way to degrade me for the littlest mistakes I made. My father was no different from them, he just yelled out orders and expect me to follow through with them perfectly.
I halted when I reached the familiar small shop of my childhood. My aunt and uncle were the people running it and also were part of the people who didn't believe I did what caused the others to hate me.
I opened the glass and wooden framed door before walking inside the shop.
Senbei's(Type of rice crackers) and candy jars filled the shelves and counter. Different sweet treats seemed to be added to the place since I last visited. A small smile formed on my lips as I remembered the memories of this place.Uruchi(Aunt): I-Itachi!!
I turned around to see my aunt's face with a shocked expression. She ran up to me and hugged me tightly to the point that I felt like my soul was going to leave my body.
Itachi: A-auntie, your s-squishing me!!
She let go and wiped a small tear that was gleaming at the corner of her eye.
Uruchi: Your uncle will be so glad to see you.
She turned around and yelled in the direction of the back room.
