Chapter 30

My Brother

"Hyung!" Jungkook spoke as he opened Jimin front door.
He held snacks, and a couple bottles of Banana milk and Soju.
Today he was going to hang out with his brother, it felt like it had been years...maybe it had been since they talked happily, like nothing could get into the way.

For them it was one thing after the other, and it just seemed like time slipped away from their grasp, Jungkooks grasp.
The younger knew he hadn't been spending the time with Jimin he should have, hell he felt like he would take that guilt to the grave, it was like a bullet lodged in his heart ironically enough.

"Jungkook? What are you doing here? AND WHY THE HELL DID YOU JUST WALK IN HERE!?" Jimin yelled "you did say the door was always open!" Jungkook smiled "Dumbass! You could still knock ya know!? Use your pea sized brain" Jimin mocked and Jungkook glared "Pea sized brains run in the family- me and you both were damned with that gene!" The younger laughed and Jimin smiled shaking his head "Back to my question..what are you doing here?" The elder asked "I'm here to see you, we really need to talk and catch up" Jungkook smiled

"All the sudden? It's been awhile since you've been here...alone as well" Jimin sighed and Jungkook gulped feeling the air tense, the once comforting air was now tainted with anger..and sadness.
"Well- look- I'm here now, I have snacks- and drinks" The younger spoke setting the items down on the table smiling "Banana milk, some things don't change" he laughed and Jungkook pouted "Banana milk is the best- you just don't know it" The younger spoke "Oh so defensive" Jimin mocked "I-I am not defensive- your rude" Jungkook spoke crossing his arms.

Jimin laughed grabbing the soju opening the bottle "Now this here is the good stuff" Jimin spoke gulping down a sip. Jungkook gagged at how easily he drank the substance "Hm I'm surprised Taehyung doesn't get you to drink" The elder spoke "nah, he's not really forceful into that kind of thing...I don't even think he drinks all that much anyways" Jungkook smiled "as much as I hate how you two got married- you have changed him" Jimin spoke "He used to be such an asshole" The elder shook his head and Jungkook chuckled "Meh- he still can be" Jungkook joked earning a laugh from Jimin

The room got silent for a minute before Jungkook spoke once more.
"That guy who attacked me got arrested" Jungkook spoke shivering slightly "Good" Jimin spoke quickly "Bastard should rot in jail" Jimin spoke angrily "It just so happens I Wasn't the only one he hurt...assaulted" Jungkook spoke "I know...I know I won't get over what happened to me- but atleast I know I got justice to the many people he hurt" Jungkook smiled

"And In a way that gives me some peace"

The silence was now more, Jungkook could feel himself getting worried, and almost panicking.
In his heart he could feel something was wrong with Jimin, and if that wasn't obvious before this moment, it was now.
"Jimin?" The younger spoke up "is...everything okay?" The younger asked now, he had been so caught up in trying to make seeing Jimin amazing he forgot to even ask the elder how he was doing, how everything was going.

Jimin leaned back "Everything is fine" he spoke and Jungkook shook his head "No it's not" Jungkook replied and Jimin looked over to the younger crossing his arms "Don't start" Jimin spoke sternly "Don't ruin this" The elder spoke sadly "Jimin we need to talk" Jungkook spoke fiddling with his hands "Talk? You want to talk? Really? I didn't think you were capable of talking to me" Jimin snapped "your so busy with Taehyung now- you barely see me- you barley talk to me!" Jimin spoke, his voice beginning to turn into yelling

"You- You left! All you do is leave! You left me- you left Taehyung!? And for what!? Attention!?" Jimin spoke so angry and upset he didn't even realize how hurtful his words were "Jimin-" Jungkook spoke getting cut off "NO! You left! You left me! You didn't bother to reach out...I've had to sit by- sit by and listen to the things that have happened to you- I couldn't protect you- I couldn't save you" Jimin spoke "I've had to hear that little brother has almost died so many times" Jimin spoke tears filling his eyes "But you- you don't care! You don't take those close calls to do better- you just find other ways to get yourself killed! What about me!? Hell what about Taehyung since that's all you care about now!" Jimin sobbed

"You've forgotten me- and all I can do is sit here and hope you show up to care- but I know once you leave here something else will happen and you'll be gone again- again..." Jimin sobbed and Jungkook sighed "I'm sorry" The younger spoke as tears fell down his face "I'm sorry for all the pain I've caused- I know you and Taehyung have been through so much...because of me" Jungkook spoke "I'm really trying...I'm trying to do better and be better" Jungkook spoke "I really am- I'm trying to be stronger- and I'm trying to fix my wrongdoings- which is why I'm here..." Jungkook spoke and Jimin gulped closing his eyes

"I'm sorry...for what I said" Jimin spoke and Jungkook smiled before hugging the elder tightly "You don't have to be sorry, I'm glad you told me everything, it's clear to me you've been holding all of this back for awhile" Jungkook spoke and Jimin nodded hugging the younger back "I love you" Jungkook spoke "your my older brother, and just like you would do anything for me I'd do for you" Jungkook spoke and Jimin laughed, before crying more "I love you to"
