I talk about my brain vs. me a lot
As though we're different people
As though we each have bodies of our own
But we don't
We share a body that cannot fit us both
And by both I really mean all of us
Me, my brain, and all the voices in my head
All the people who yell at me
All the people in my memories
And many I don't know at all
But they're there
And maybe one day we'll be able to find a balance
Between them and me
Between their body and mine
'Cause right now it's mostly theirs
It looks like them
Sounds like them
And I'm stuck trying to be them
