We are trying so fucking hard
To not kill ourselves
To look on the good side
To see our future in a positive way
Why can't you see that?
The statistics aren't secret
You can see the number of us that kill ourselves
That have anxiety
That self harm
That hate ourselves
We are trying so fucking hard
But you are almost actively killing us
You are killing this world
Killing our futures
Killing our livelihoods
Killing our fucking dreams
Killing us
But you don't care 'cause you're making money
It is so fucking hard not to feel hopeless
There are so many of us that expect the world to end before we're 50
And don't expect ourselves to make it to 18
We are killing ourselves because we see no hope
Because the only future we can imagine
Is one full of problems you've created
You got out of it scot free
Because you'll be dead before the serious consequences take hold
We are dying and I can't help but put blame on you
At least some blame
You're killing our planet
But you're shocked when we kill ourselves?
