I want to go home
House and home mean different things
But those who have not had to make the distinction don't seem to understand
A house is just where you're obligated to stay
Usually as a minor until you can move out
It offers a roof over your head
And usually food in your stomach
And if you're lucky a good host or two
A home on the other hand
Is a place where you can relax
Where you don't have to worry about being safe
It offers cover from the elements
And maybe a trusted person or two
A house you stay at because you have to
A home you stay at because you feel safe there
