Chapter Six- Hell fire
"Kacchan! Kacchan wait!"
"Nice try, Deku."
"Why are you so mean, Kacchan?"
Why are you so mean?
Why?
A whisper to the wind, years later, to no one but himself. "I don't know."

Izuku speed walked into the lockers, passing all his classmates who watched him warily. Their training hadn't been anything special, the hero course wiped the floor with their opponents, but the only difference than all other days was Midoriya's demeanor. He was cut off from emotion and empathy, throwing punches that had their challengers knocked out. HIs knuckles bloody and bruised, he had taken off his gloves in the beginning of the match. Opting to fist fight all of his challengers, he had won against them all.
Uraraka raised a brow, reaching out to the green haired male but he disappeared from sight. She turned to Shoto with a confused expression. "What's happening?"
"A logical guess?" He tilted his head to the blonde on the far side of the field speaking to Azazel with an evil expression. "Bakugou."
"Who is that dude he's talking to?"
"Another guess?" Kirishima spoke, bounding towards them. "Middle school friend."
Todoroki and Eijirou shared a look, both knowing what that meant. They both had minimal details on the middle school life Katsuki and Izuku had led, they didn't know about the "swan dive" or abuse. They knew about the bullying at least. Ochako didn't know, nor was she aware of anything about their middle school days but she assumed.
As the boys and girls separated into their separate locker rooms Bakugou dropped his gauntlets on the bench in front of his locker, looking around hesitantly. Izuku's back was to him, the scars on his arms revealing themselves as he took off his hero suit. He could feel the tension, the click in Izuku's jaw as he ground his teeth.
Bakugou walked forward after getting his uniform back on. Izuku had finished putting on his belt, having his shirt over his shoulders, not yet buttoned, just as Katsuki reached him. The locker room was talkative, the boys speaking amongst themselves.
"Deku."
"Save it, Kacchan." Midoriya warned, his tone cautious. Like he was analyzing every word he said.
"No, fuck that let m-"
He was caught off guard by being pushed against the locker, his back hitting the metal but that wasn't what made the clang. The loud noise of Izuku's fist and forearm hitting the metal locker beside Bakugou's head had the place quieting down. All eyes turned to them, wide in shock but no one moved forward.
Izuku leaned down, his warm breath blowing against Katsuki's face, so close he could taste the mint on it. The gold fleck within those forest green eyes glowed with agitation.
"I said drop it. Save your half assed apologies, save your excuses, save your breath. I could care less, Kacchan, you know that right? Lie to me all you want, I won't call you on it. But I am not in the mood to hear you go on about how that little stunt you pulled was necessary." He tilted his head, brows furrowed and voice lowering so the others couldn't hear. "I never asked for an apology for middle school, you know. I never, ever, held a grudge either. So, save your breath and give me two fucking seconds before I figure out I really do want to punch you."
It was silent.
"Guys..." Kirishima laughed nervously, walking forward but Kaminari held him back, shaking his head in disagreement. They had to let them work this out.
Izuku stared down the blonde, the males ruby eyes holding surprise and offense.
"Did you finally grow a pair?" Katsuki snapped back, not letting his guilt reach him.
He nodded, letting out a dry unamused laugh, looking to the wall away from Bakugou's face. He shook his head, running his tongue over his teeth, trying to ease the anger flowing through his system. "Whatever."
He pushed off the locker, the others holding their breath at the dent his fist had made in the metal. He, once again, walked away. Leaving Katsuki to watch him with an angry expression and a guilty conscience.
He could see what Izuku was doing. Walking away, never looking back, not arguing with him or stressing topics. Midoriya was distancing himself. And Katsuki couldn't even blame him for that.
Izuku had respect for himself, he was done. That was the final straw.
Bakugou and Izuku were cut off from each other.
And, oh, was it going to be hell fire.
