Chapter Sixteen- Bruises

"Grow up! She didn't hurt you."

"She mentally fucked with me!"

"She should have done worse!"

"What..."

Katsuki sighed, hand on his neck as he surveyed the damage with a small scowl on his face. He had let go of his emotions, that alone was eating at him as he tried to cover the mark on his pale porcelain skin.

They hadn't gotten far until both of them backed off. Only a few heated kisses, hands on his waist. He shivered at the thought, it felt good, too good. He couldn't let it happen again. He refused to and tried to vow it to himself as he opened his door slowly and looked around. His hand stayed at his neck, in case someone walked by. But right before he could walk out he slammed the door and started crying in the comfort of his own room.

The tears had crept up on him and he leaned his forehead against the door to let the fall. He's told himself to get Izuku off his mind and now... now he did what he told himself not to. He felt his body getting colder, missing the heat on his skin. Missing the hands that held his head from going under.

He was aware of Midoriya's effect on him when he was by his side. Aware of how much he helped, how much he cared. Katsuki couldn't have it. He was tired with how exhausted the effort made him but he kept trying. He didn't want to need him. He didn't want to hold Izuku down and didn't want him to hold him up.

He swallowed thickly, raising his head and wiping his tears. His feelings dead and gone as he adjusted the mask. The mask that blocked all emotion, locked it away as he stood straight. Took in a deep breath through withered lungs, practically a heave that evened out the minute he opened the door.

If you are in love, then you are the lucky one because most of us are bitter over someone. Katsuki dealt with the bitter sweet sensation for quite some time and he refused to let go of that acidic taste that lingered. He ignored the tingling sensation, the fuzziness, the butterflies, all that was left was sardonic.

He knocked on the door beside him, three rapid taps. "Kirishima."

The door opened so fast a breeze ruffled Katsuki's clothes, blowing cooly over his face that he closed his eyes. When he opened them he was met by a hug, which he only responded to by rapidly punching Eijiro's shoulder till he let go.

"What's wrong? You called me by my name." He surveyed the males face, eyes catching on his neck. "Who-"

They stared at each other till the redhead whispered. "Midoriya..."

Bakugou looked down, nodding slightly. "Fucking help me, shitty hair."

As they walked into Kirishima's room Izuku walked by, watching the shot of blonde hair as the door closed. He pursed his lips, stuffing his hands in the pockets of his jeans and leaning against Todoroki who put an arm around him and laughed sadly.

"Don't assume." Shoto murmured, bringing Izuku to his side as they walked into the elevator. On the way down he ruffled the males curls and leaned his head over the others as he comforted in the best way he could. "Don't assume the worst, Midoriya, never do that to yourself. You are amazing and Bakugou knows that, okay?"

"Kay." Izuku nodded, taking a deep breath. Todoroki caught the hitch in it, but when he glanced at the males freckled face it was joyful. A happiness that could have filled anyone and, he was sad to admit, it fooled him.
