Chapter Twenty-- Too good to be true
                              "I'm sorry."
                              "You never where! You liar!"
                              ─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
They were both asleep, dead to the world in such a figurative sense. In a pleasing way that most adored. The luxury of sleep. Of being gone, having no care in the world.
Izuku lay on his back, one arm extended to support the blonde who rested his head against it. His hands holding the males scarred arm, tear stains on his cheeks. Cheeks red and flushed, eyes finally closing to make him rest after such an exhausting night. The trouble he made, the talk they had, it wasn't anything big. They still had a lot to fix but, for now, they were okay around each other again.
Katsuki finally let go of some of that denial, though the insecurities stayed. As a breeze found its way towards his body, he shuffled closer. His whole body curled around Midoriya's sleeping figure. His green curls spread on the pillow in a beautiful mess, like a halo. The dorm was waking up slowly, along with the day. The sun rising, birds singing a tune to join it followed by crickets and critters. The chorus of the morning.
Izuku woke up first, slowly, turning from his back to his side. Arms going around Katsuki and tugging him closer almost out of instinct. The blonde was already in the process of waking up, rubbing his eyes and stretching slightly.
Both of them had collapsed on the bed, passing out after crying their poor broken hearts out. Streaked eyeliner still stayed on Bakugou's face. Izuku observed him as he woke up, brushing some of the blonde tufts away from his forehead.
"Morning." It was gruff, short. Katsuki's voice having deepend from sleep. His morning voice was always quite a thing to hear.
                              "Mhm." Izuku whispered. "Morning, Kacchan."
They both tangled into each other, escaping whatever had happened earlier. Whatever they had been going through. It was one of the problems with these two, they accepted that they got closer but they knew deep down they had things to talk about. Things that needed to be fixed. Their foundation was still far too shaky, anything could break it.
"What now?" Was the first thing he thought, said. Izuku cringed, shrugging.
"Is it cliche to ask you out?" He murmured. Bakugou laughed, voice cracking.
                              "No."
Midoriya intertwined their hands, bringing Katsuki's hand to his lips as he grinned. "Go out with me?"
Katsuki held back a laugh, a soft cry. "Sure."
Izuku hummed, turning the man's hand, tapping his wrist lightly. He had noticed that the minute he woke up, the leather band no longer hid the new scars. "Let's fix these, yeah?"
The blonde was going to refuse but the look in Midoriya's eyes shut him up. He wasn't going to let him argue about it this time. Katsuki got up, going to brush his teeth and use the bathroom. The usual morning things. By the time he walked back out, dressed in his uniform, Deku was already setting out badges in his uniform as well. His hair combed, but still messy, teeth brushed and the tiredness gone from his eyes.
He had gone to his dorm, that much was clear, but how fast was he? He turned the minute he heard Katsuki exit the bathroom, closing the light as he stared at the bandages.
"You know-" He started but was cut off by lips on his, softly shushing him. Katsuki closed his eyes, going to tangle his hands in the males curls with a murmur. A soft sigh. Kissing Izuku was like a breath of novocaine, it soothed him. Calmed him, easing all the pain that was built up. All the tension.
He raised on his toes, trying to get more. Like whatever restricted him was gone and now all he wanted was him, his touch. But Izuku was careful, he was gentle, as he let the blonde go with a chuckle. He didn't have to say anything as he grabbed Katsuki's wrist and began to inspect the cuts, the slowly healing skin.
His fingers were gentle as he wrapped the bandage around his wrist after having cleaned the cuts. He never asked, nor did he try to give him a lecture. He merely cleaned, wrapped and then smiled softly as he rested the leather bracelet on his wrist. He knew Bakugou didn't like showing what he had done, so he wouldn't force him to. But before he placed the bracelet on Izuku pressed his lips to the skin where the bandage didn't lay.
His voice but a whisper as he spoke. "Please be careful."
Bakugou scowled slightly, knowing Izuku was trying to help but that didn't stop him from becoming upset. From thinking in some way Midoriya was looking down on him or, much rather, ridiculing him. But, instead of the cruel voice that made him regret everything there was another one. Another voice that was the faintest whisper, the smallest sound, but there nonetheless as it said.
                              Trust him
And he did, deep down. But he couldn't quite trust him completely. Not just yet. So he let himself be adored by the other as he gave a small snort.
                              "I'm always careful."
It was such a lie, though said so teasingly, Izuku let it go as he brought Katsuki closer. Bringing him into a hug as he laughed. "Sure Kacchan. Whatever you say."
Bakugou hummed, allowing himself to press a kiss to the males lips, murmuring against them what he could never say before. "I'm sorry."
                              "I know."
