Chapter Twenty six - Talking
It's funny how things remind you of people.
When I see a sunflower I see my friend who told me about them, promised to show me one day.
When I see a certain song, I remember who showed it to me.
When I hear a certain name, I know you called me by it.
When I say the nickname I preserved for you, it is only for you alone.
"When I see you, you remind me of happiness," Katsuki whispered. "Happiness and pain, so much pain."

When they finally left Kirishima was buzzing.
Ejiro wasn't known to be a thinker, though he was smart and was able to think his way through many problems, he wasn't known to be an overthinker. He was easy going, he didn't ask too many questions. He was laid back, he was chill, he was soothing.
But right now he was losing his shit.
The gears in his brain were turning, causing his stomach to churn with all the possible outcomes he thought up. He wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, he knew that, but right now he wished he was. His teeth worrying his tongue, nearly hurting himself in the process.
Izuku, who was dealing with the guards, thanking them for letting him in- (getting blank-faced nods in response)- had left Katsuki standing beside Ejiro with a blank stare that rivaled any stoned faced guard in the entire joint.
Kirishima was smarter than he thought he was, he really was. But he would never admit that to himself. He would never admit that he could sense just what to do or say, because he didn't believe he was that bright.
                              But he was.
Bakugou crossed his arms over his sweater clad chest, staring down at his boots with blurry eyes. He hadn't looked up when the guards passed him with the blonde woman in their grasp, shoving her back into her cell.
He didn't look up when Kirishima put an arm around his shoulders and steered them out of the building, following Izuku. He didn't even look up when Ejiro let Midoriya take his place.
He finally responded, looking up when he got hefted up on Izuku's motorcycle by two strong hands on his waist, blinking in surprise at the male who caged him between his arms. "Breathe."
"I'm fine." Katsuki bit out but Midoriya didn't budge, tilting his head. Curls fell over his shoulder, freckles seeming to glow when the sun peeked barely out of the clouds. Katsuki vaguely remembered walking into the place, thinking of the dark shadows falling over the prison and how Izuku was his sun. The sun now brightening Midoriya's features seemed to heighten the odd thought process. Why did it feel like a few days ago when it was barely even an hour? He raised a brow at Bakugou's hazed look.
"You're shaking." He said softly. Looking over to the redhead who was tapping his foot subconsciously and looking around as if trying to distract himself. Katsuki glared at Midoriya, eyes flickering to Ejiro as well. Izuku took that as a cue to explain. "Kirishima?"
"Yes Midoriya." Ejiro responded quickly, turning to face him with a ferocity and eagerness that partially stunned Izuku before he smiled slightly. It was a crooked, half smile. As if unaware of how he should be expressing himself at that moment.
"I'm sure you have questions." Izuku said softly, making himself approachable. His expression went from worried and ticked off to a calm open one. It wasn't fake, no, it was considerate. He wasn't going to take off his anger on the poor redhead who was looking freaked out and confused. His blood red eyes blown wide, sharp teeth clashing as he shifted them together in an unconscious tic.
