"Sam, I need your help for the final blow. Dean finally bought the macho killing ghost crap. Can you somehow try to manipulate the power supply so the lights flicker occasionally? I want him to think the ghost is really haunting him, best we put some more speakers in the vents", Josie told Sam two days later.
"You want him to believe there's a made-up monster in the bunker?", marveled Sam, but found the thought of playing another prank on Dean quite amusing.
"Well, only the two of us know that the monster isn't real and maybe it will give him something to think about."
"I'll see what I can do", the Winchester complied and grabbed his tools, while Josie only had to distract Dean so he wouldn't notice.
"Dean? You up for a ride?", she asked him, "We could go to a lake and enjoy the sun"
"Sure, if you put on that cute pink bikini", he purred in anticipation.
"How do you know...? Did you go through my stuff?", she hissed at him in shock.
"It, uhm, was in the wash!", he talked himself out of it.
"No, it certainly wasn't there, you pervert!", she snorted, crossing her arms, "Sam warned me that I'd better hide my private stuff"
"See? It's your own fault", Dean mocked and escorted her to the cars.
"I'm driving!", the huntress determined and sprinted to the Charger.
"Oh no, please don't", Dean sighed, rolling his eyes.
"Don't you dare make a sexist joke about women driving", she threatened while evil eyeing him.
"And what if I do?", he retorted, challenged.
"Then it just proves you really are a macho man!", she spoke loudly and Dean winced.
"Shh, don't say that out loud" he pleaded, glancing around nervously.
"Don't tell me you have a guilty conscience", she mocked.
"Me, no, why would I?", he lied and hurriedly got into the car, while the brunette just hoped Sam would get everything worked out by the time they got back home.
Josie and Dean actually headed for the nearest lake and sat down under a shady tree with two beers. But unlike expected, Dean was not an asshole, on the contrary. He put his jacket on the ground for her so her clothes wouldn't get dirty and, without any ulterior motive, offered her to lean against him instead of the hard tree trunk.
A guilty feeling rose in her and she wondered if it was right to teach him a lesson. This was Dean all over again, making her stand on his shoes that time just so she wouldn't get cold feet. Thoughtfully she looked at him from the side, while he watched the small waves on the surface of the lake.
"What?", he finally asked, turning to her.
Caught off guard, she avoided his gaze. She wondered how long she had been staring at him. With a smug smile, he leaned over to her. He tried to kiss her, knowing she wouldn't let him, but he was going to have his fun.
