They had to walk the entire distance back until they arrived at the parking lot where the Impala was parked. Dean paced silently beside her, putting his cold hands in his jacket pockets. Uncertainly, Josie squinted at the profile of the hunter, who adjusted his pace to her, but was still faster than the brunette.
"Slow down, I was unconscious a minute ago," she admonished him.
To slow him down she put her hand in his jacket pocket as well and intertwined her fingers with his. Now she could control him and secretly hold hands.
"So now tell me about the angel," she asked him directly, not wanting to wait until they were in the bunker.
Dean started at the beginning when he was killed and Castiel brought him back to life. At least that's what he told what he could remember when he came to on a park bench. Until the encounter earlier in the bar.
"I would have liked to have met him and thanked him, too," Josie confessed, impressed with who Dean knew so well.
She already heard about the king of hell, angels and even a vampire he mentioned once, however the story about it had slipped her mind.
"Maybe next time," Dean said, opening the car door for her.
"Thank you, sir," she grinned at him and got in.
Shaking his head, he grinned to himself as he walked around the car and then drove home.
"I hope Sam spends the night with Amelia," Josie announced, "As much as I don't begrudge him a girlfriend, the hanky-panky is annoying. Now I know why he always sends us off together."
"Hey, we're not as bad as them," Dean defended himself, but had to admit to himself that he and Josie could be really exhausting sometimes.
But there was one good thing about Sam spending more time with Amelia. Josie was paying more attention to Dean than before.
Fortunately for them, Sam actually seemed to be with his girlfriend, so at least the night in the bunker would be calm. Especially since Josie was now healed.

When Dean turned on the TV the next morning, the news was on. A complete city was almost wiped out overnight and no one could explain how it happened. It was said black fog broke over the city and attacked the people. It didn't seem to take long for everything to subside. Apart from the destruction, the people seemed to be fine, at least that's what the station reported.
But Dean understood what was going on. Apparently hell was on the loose and hundreds of demons were being set free. The question was why.
Immediately he mobilized all the hunters he could reach, because three of them couldn't possibly take on an entire city full of demons. Shortly thereafter, the Winchesters set out with Josie. However, they did not go directly to the city, the demons knew the hunters and it would be too dangerous to go into the death zone without being prepared.
